Bottom of the league. I'd like to see him turn it around.

How many clubs have him and Brucey managed now?

Didn't even realize he was still managing.
Yeah I thought he'd stopped after getting the sack at Bradford. Obviously not but tbh I don't see him keeping carlisle up as they're in a dire situation.

Although tbf it's not too different than the situation Holloway inherited at Swindon a few months ago and he's doing fine.

Can't wait to see the Carlisle supporters faces at work tomorrow, they all thought they were getting Steven Gerrard

Brucey was my first thought!
Both of them are really dropping down to stay involved!

Thought Brucey managed to stall my boys Wycombe who are having a great season, so can't be underestimated!

Genuinely trying to work out if you're saying this is better or worse.

Regardless of mangerial quality, there's loads of scouse sympathisers up here and they were all creaming themselves over the prospect of being able to see Slippy G on the touchline.

Just glad there was no risk of him coming to Wycombe!

You're a Wycombe fan?!
Wycombe and United.
This big club small club thing was popular in the early 90s.

I'm slightly nervous the 2 could meet in the same division soon though looking at both trajectories!

Watching hughes and hearing his teammates talk about his personality I was surprised he took up managing and coaching.

He was top class for wales and Blackburn, was doing ok at city but was probably too big for him.

Fulham was a disaster. Southampton he kept them up but disaster early in season. Was doing well enough with stoke but was tasked with trying to change the stoke philosophy.

Fair play to him taking lower league jobs hopefully he doesn’t struggle to realise that players down there don’t have the ability of the players he played with or coached before.

Met him before a lovely genuine man and seems like he just wants to work

Carlisle won again yesterday beating Morecambe to move off the foot of the table with four games left and Accrington falling could Mark Hughes pull off the greatest of escapes ?? Loved Hughes as a player and he obviously loves football as I doubt he is at Carlisle because he needs the money…. They have Port Vale up next who are going for the title going to be a huge game for Sparky and Carlisle
