Was really impressed with him last night. To think he's mainly a centre back, playing in a Champions League knock out tie, not just stepping into midfield but looking like he's been there his whole career. Was such a dominant presence. Can't think of many other defenders who could do that.

Just 24 years old. He has a great future ahead of him.

Brilliant CDM performance by him but can’t help but think a superior side to us wouldn’t make him look like the second coming of Frank Rijkaard.

He did very well.

We was linked with him under LVG I think but it didn't amount to anything.

He is one of the best CBs in the World. He is only playing midfield this season because of PSG's incompetence.

True. Think we can safely assume PSG will be in the last 8 so will love to see a Marquinos--Veratti midfield against the likes of Barca, Real or City.

Paredes will probably be up to speed by that time.
Aye, he also looked right at home as soon as he came on.

It's a nice option to have for them. If they want to stop an oppoents star player, (e.g. Pogba) especially in an away leg, Marquinos in midfield is looking like the main man though.

Is Tuchel the first to play him in this role?

Agreed, the money they spent on kehrer should have been spent on a midfielder. Marquinhos is better than Kimpembe and Thiago Silva. And they should put their pride aside and play Rabiot.

His job was to chase Pogba around and he did it well. Verratti was the one who ran things though.

He is a good player. Strong, quick, decent on the ball, expereinced for his age. He also didnt play there for the first time. Was a good move to nullify Pogba with someone who can match him physically and is actually doing what he has been told

I bet you didn't watch many PSG games.
Silva is miles ahead of Marquinhos in terms of defending.

With someone like Ramsey you know that he is going to 100% focused even with contract issues. I am not sure you can say the same about Rabiot.

Such a fuss when he went for £30m at 18 or so. Bargain.
