In today's game, The NBC commentators were talking up Phelan behind our defensive solidarity especially in corners and set pieces. I don't know if that's the case but I love it to be true . We've been so solid in last two months, steep contrast to what was going on prior to that.

If David Moyes had kept Mike Phelan (and possibly Rene) at the club, Moyes would still be Man United boss now.

Moyes was out of his depth at United, job was always too big. Having Fergie’s backroom staff would’ve delayed the inevitable departure but they wouldn’t had made him competent.

In other words, if Moyes wasn’t an idiot he wouldn’t have been an idiot. Got it

Nay. Mike is an excellent supplement, not a medical cure.

There was a moment today. Mike and Ole were intensely discussing on the touchline. Ole shook his head in disagreement, moved aside and instructed the players.

When you are a manager at the end buck stops at you like captain of ship. He can consult his staff but at the end he who makes the decision. Moysey didn't have that in him at such a big club under tremendous pressure of whole world watching and scrutinizing your each move.

Ole at the wheel. Not Phelan at the wheel. Every manager got his assistants. They all deserve some credit. But this Phelan thing is a bit too much. He is doing his job, as much as Carrick and McKenna . If you listen to some, you might even think Phelan is the reason for all our improvements. We don’t see fans from other teams making such a big deal of their assistant coach as if he could manage the club himself to this level.

Football is teamwork both on and off the pitch.

It turns out we got a whole lot better team on pitch than we thought.

Off the pitch we got a team better than we could have dreamed of. Mayor upgrade!
Credit to everyone. Phelan is awesome but Ole is at the wheel.
