I wouldn't be surprised if Shola Shoretire despite being a year younger gets more minutes for the 18s next season that most, if not all of the new intake.

The little i've seen of him i'd say he's more technically gifted than his Dad, which isn't saying a lot, and I think his Dad played further forward
See our u14s went out of med cup to amateur club from New York in second round. Under 12s lost to Barca in semis.

Mee is a GK.
Fish is a gangy, commanding CB who can also drive forward.
Gallagher-Allison is a CB, quite solid from the little I've seen.
Dodgson is a LB, can also play CB, signed at U11s level.
Iestyn Hughes is a RB who already played for the U18s. A smooth player, good at going forward.
Savage is a small midfielder, great at hitting passes
Alfie Hughes is a CM who can run with the ball. Signed from Boro at U15s.
Iqbal is a creative attacking midfielder. Good dribbler but a bit fragile and slow.
Wellens is a versatile winger/AM/forward who can score goals. Son of Ritchie of course.
Sotona is a rapid, tricky winger. Can looks erratic at times aka. Zaha.
Odubeko is a typical number 9 who score goals regularly and can hold up the ball well.
Haven't seen Emeran play before (winger/forward) and only saw Svidersky played once (CM).
Couple of questions for those who have eyes and ears in the Academy.
Will Sbragia remain with the u23s next season? If not, are we already looking for a replacement in that case? Who do you think would be an ideal candidate?

He's a CB or lb as far as I know
Anthony Elanga scored twice for Sweden u17s against France yesterday. I was at the game & he did really well playing as a striker & seemed like Sweden's only game plan was to get the ball to him. He made a lot of really clever runs in behind as well but the Swedish players didn't have the ability to pick him out often enough.

Christ, I just realised he's the son of Joseph Elanga who used to play in Danish and Swedish football. Had a few outings for the Cameroun as well. He was some character, as far as I remember.
Yep, a left-back with no technique...but far worse; a wife beater.
Elanga has been doing well recently. Thought he looked okayish but wasn't a goal threat earlier. Lately, he has been adding goals as well. Glad to see him doing well.

Rumours that Warren Joyce is coming back but i'd prefer Darren Fletcher, Chris Casper or maybe even Paul Scholes.
He was a decent coach the first team round but bringing him back in his 60s was a terrible idea. Hopefully we do now what we did with McKenna and recruit someone young and highly regarded.
Will Fish - any relation to Mark Fish the former SA CB who played for Bolton?

Same here. I prefer someone who will get the players playing an attacking brand of football. The logic in the past was that Joyce gets the kids ready to do the dirty work, but I don't see how they wouldn't do so regardless because of their want to impress the manager at first team level. It's redundant. I would rather the kids be full of confidence and I don't think a more defensive style helps.
Still think Kieran McKenna should have stayed with the 18s for another season then moved up to the 23s when Ricky Sbragia left.

Not sure I agree with this, our problem in the first team at the moment is largely down to having talented players who don't put in the hard yards or have the tactical nous we need...
Which will get coached to them by the manager.
