Ten Hag with 55% of the vote is quite incredible.

Can we bring this thread to the attention of the board please?

Im flabbergasted by the love for Poch. Surely a serial bottler?
Look, I also prefer Ten Hag, but to dismiss Poch just because he didn't win the title and CL with Espanyol and Spurs is insane. As Pep said, only managers at top club are capable of winning titles because they have the resources and players to do so. Do you really think Pep or even Klopp would win anything with Spurs? There's very, very few managers in history that have overachieved so far as to win titles and CL with clubs that have no business winning those, like Clough or Fergie.

Yes exactly. Klopp got to the final with Dortmund and lost.

These are the dumbest criticisms.

It's because he inherited a team at the knockout stage - His first 6 games were against Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Man City. He didn't beat Barca and Bayern twice but he won the tie which is all that matters. He didn't get to inflate his figures with group victories over trash because he didn't start the season.

So much nonsense being posted here.

I also find the thought of Ten Haag as our manager exciting but I do find it odd how people think his barebones resume is that far ahead of Poch's. Poch has some highs and some embarrassing lows whereas Ten Haag's biggest accomplishment outside his domestic league is a CL semifinal. Hasn't even managed at a big club, all he has going for him is the unknown quantity factor which could end up as disastrous as it could be rewarding. We don't even know if he's a Pep or a Vilas boas.

Exactly this. In 2 CL campaigns, he got PSG to a Semi final and then out of a tough group. Win % doesn't really matter as long as you win ties.

I would argue that Ajax are indeed a big club. A 4 times European cup winning club in fact. Please, let's not lose ourselves with thinking on English or Spanish clubs are 'big'.

Agreed, just cherry picking stats to suit their agenda.

Miguel Delaney knows feck all, just a guess work.
It's all posturing at the end of the day. Will be a cold day in hell before ETH comes to Old Trafford so this is all rubbish.

The reality is that everyone is waiting on Zidane. If he's intent on doing watercolours in his chateau till summer then we all have to wait. Otherwise it's just how much and how soon for Poch.

Ten Hag, Amorim and then Poch for me in my preferences

If it's interim first then throw a bunch of money at Zidane and then let one of the above come in. He may not want the job full time so this may be a fair compromise unless he genuinely just hates the idea of managing in the PL/us

Yes I am being a manager muppet

Of course he didn’t but that’s how I’m choosing to remember it because I’m firmly Poch out.
Don't let perfection be the enemy of the good. We would all love ETH in a lovely upscaled Ajax ruling Europe in a well ordered club. But it's a fantasy. We have Glazers and it wouldn't work.
