Not a complete cock, just really young.
Partly a prediction thread of where the squad will be in the summer. Who'll get the number 10? Will Rooney still be here?

I'm fancying:
Mata 7
Rooney 10 (I expect him to sign a contract in the next few days/weeks)
Januzaj 11 (big ask but Giggs is retiring at the end of the season, and if we don't retire the number I don't see why Januzaj can't get it considering the others will be taken.

I imagine Mata will get the 7 now and that'll stick with him. If he gets something else it suggests Rooney will be leaving and they'll save the 10 for him in summer.

Sounds insignificant but I reckon Mata's number gives us a clue on Rooney's future.

Mata is going to get no.7 obviously. Adnan will get 11 in the summer. 8 and 9 up for grabs.

1. De Gea
2. Rafael
3. Shaw
4. Jones
5. Smalling
6. Evans
7. Mata
8. Koke
9. Welbeck

10. Rooney
11. Januzaj

Don't ask why I stopped at no.11 seeing as we have a playing staff of thirty.

Moyes' revolution of the club starts in earnest, and I for one cannot wait.

my dream situation would be

1. de gea
2. rafael
3. evra
4. jones
5. new top CB, someone like hummels would be , would not mind young promising players such as zouma or mangala though
6. evans
7. mata
8. vidal
9. reus
10. rooney
11. januzaj
12. smalling
13. lindegaard
14. chicharito
15. vidic
16. carrick
17. nani
18. koke or kroos
19. welbeck
20. van persie
21. henriquez (loaned out)
22. shaw
23. cleverley
24. fletcher
25. powell
26. kagawa
29. zaha (loaned out)
31. fellaini

meaning we'll be signing vidal and kroos/koke for CM, reus to add to our attack, a left back in shaw (our LB will be sorted for the next 13 years to come), and a CB.

a whooping £150 million to be spend there next summer.

no more valencia and young.

Feels a bit weird giving 7 to a former Chelsea player, but yeah the most sensible is Mata 7, Januzaj 11 in the summer, and our future midfield Lord and Saviour will be number 8.

Everyone has Giggs down to retire at the end of the season, I still think he could play for another year
Depends on whether he is good enough, or whether he is getting minutes on the back of being Ryan Giggs. If it is the latter then it's time to go. I don't think it's the time to be indulging a club legend, particularly when there is a team in the process of gelling together. If he's happy to sit on the bench for those games in which we need a goal in the last 10 minutes then great, but I see little use for him beyond that.

I said it on another thread, but Januzaj is the heir to that number. Of course, numbers are all a bit trivial, but fun nonetheless.

Januzaj should get no 7 but I suspect it will go to Mata

I suppose we've already given it to a former Liverpool player...so wouldn't be all that weird.

The match tomorrow night should be a good indicator. I'd imagine Shaw will be wearing the number 3, with Januzaj also being assigned a new number. Too early for Wilson to be given the number 9?

I wonder if some of the more illustrious numbers will be kept vacant in anticipation of new signings. These squad numbers could be somewhat indicative of our transfer business.

Welbeck should get 9
I don't think he will ever be a good enough striker to warrant it to be honest. Maybe it's too early for Wilson to be given it but in a year or two he could be more than deserving of it. That will never be the case with Welbeck as he just isn't prolific enough to become a top class striker.

Why did you give squad numbers to McConnell and Liam Grimshaw?
