Genius? Yes.
You're kidding right?Emo? Yes.
He's pretty good
Quite alright. No blood no foul.Yes, I was kidding - sorry, nasty habit I picked up in the General Forum
Absolutely. I'd say he's gone a bit downhill after NMSWP though.
Genius? Yes.
Yo Pill, Kicking Against the Pricks, although very good, doesn't rank among his best three. You and I both know that, you're just showing off.
he's pretty much the most important musician in the world and has been for a few years
Can a mod please clean up this post?Man who, every day, leaves the ar$e end of his Merc. parked across the pavement in Fourth Avenue, Hove? The very same.
Hardly.Genius? Yes.
The music has certainly changed a lot since then.I used to follow The Birthday Party around England and followed Nick Cave for a few years after they split, but I can't listen to his stuff now.
Me and my mate Ash used to try staring him out when he was doing his angry look around the crowd. I caught his eye a few times and after 30 seconds of pulling weird faces at him, we occasionally got a 'feck off' before he turned away. The music has certainly changed a lot since then.
I would have loved to but it wasn't being shown here.Did anyone see the film? So incredibly powerful. Listening to the album is a completely different experience having seen it.
20,000 Days on Earth? I remember seeing that and thinking the filmmakers who made the documentary were a lot more interesting than Nick himself.Did anyone see the film? So incredibly powerful. Listening to the album is a completely different experience having seen it.
Nah, there's a film out covering the making of the new album.20,000 Days on Earth? I remember seeing that and thinking the filmmakers who made the documentary were a lot more interesting than Nick himself.
I saw it. It was terrific. New album is something else too. His output - Grinderman, Bad Seeds, film scores, screenplays, novels, two fascinating documentaries - is pretty incredible.Did anyone see the film? So incredibly powerful. Listening to the album is a completely different experience having seen it.
...Who the feck is Nick Cave?
20,000 Days on Earth might be a good primer.I've trying to get into him (albeit half arsedly) for years. How does one immerse themselves into the essence of Nick Cave?
