Gaming Nintendo Switch

Press + on the tab and go to download via internet. Really shit of them that it doesn’t come in automatically.
I don't see anything within the game to do that. I go into the Switch Online app on the home screen and can see it there under expansion pack. Clicking the link then sends me to the shop, but the shop tells me I already own it, and doesn't have a download link. I don't remember wave 1 being such a pain in the arse!

On the Switch main menu. The mk tab - instead of going into game press +.

Cool. Got it now. Funnily enough, I'd been playing it earlier today having barely touched the switch in months.
Took mine with me on holiday where my nieces were playing it and got me on it for a while; reminded me of how much fun it actually is to play, and I’ve been getting emails about wave 2 for a few days now, so reminded me to give it bash today.

Those blue shells don't get any less annoying though, do they?!

Enjoying Triangle Strategy, even though the story is dull and there's way too much of it vs the really fun combat system.

Looking forward to getting stuck into Xenoblade 3 after.

Finally have some decent games to play on my Switch!

Are you playing it yet? If so, how is it? Reviews are great, but also heard a few people saying it's cack.

Only a few hours in

I really didn’t like the 2nd one. I persevered with it but largely found it a really annoying, stupid, frustrating mess.

this seems more of the same but less annoying and messy, so far, which isn’t as good as I was hoping for, but it’s very early days.

Yeah that's my worry actually. The dumb giant boobs anime trope women with cardboard personalities are a bit offputting to me. I get that I'm becoming a bit older than their demographic, but I like a seriois story. Which is actually why I loved Triangle strategy.

Subnautica on 50% sale. Worth buying? I heard good things but I'm not a fan of water levels in most games

Said I wasn't going to upgrade to an OLED, but my original Switch does get a bit loud if I'm playing a demanding game when the room temperature is warm... (Nothing to do with that Pokemon special edition they announced the other day).

Two Point Campus is the exact same game as Two Point hospital. Bit underwhelmed..

Octopath Traveler 2 and a new Fire Emblem?

I still haven't played the first Octopath installment and Fire Emblem Three Houses. :boring:

Octopath is good. Three Houses is probably my favourite Switch Game alongside BOTW. It's brilliant!

BotW: finished the first dungeon (I say "first dungeon", but actually the game is not linear right?), but I'm stuck and have no idea where to go next and I'm too stubborn to use a walkthrough.

I'm replaying Ace Attorney HD trilogy on the Switch. I last played Ace Attorney like 15 years ago on the NDS, good memories.

1080 was really fun.

Pokémon Stadium and Stadium 2's mini games are awesome.

You need to be FAR more specific.

Was it a shrine you completed or a Divine Beast?

You're able to head in pretty much any direction and you do need to seek out a lot of the shrines. The incomplete ones will appear orange, and some will require you solve puzzles to reveal them.

The Divine Beasts are the more traditional dungeons.

I'm sure it's been asked before, but why aren't Gamecube games coming to Nintendo online? I'd love to check out Rogue Squadron or Eternal Darkness again

That would be the icing on the cake for me. I had a GameCube for years but there’s certain games from my favourite franchises that I never got round to playing such as Mario Sunshine and Zelda Twilight Princess

Go wherever you want. Or look in your journal if you need directions. If you've just completed your first shrine, then you should have listened to what the old man told you. If by "dungeon" you mean divine beast, then you should already know what you're doing.
But good on you to not use a guide. The game really shines when you get to discover everything on your own. :D

Sorry, not a "dungeon", I checked and it's the Oman Au Shrine.

I almost completed Link's Awakening on the Switch, I'm trying to find all the sea shells, but Dampé dungeon puzzle is a bit difficult to complete.

So, I started playing BotW and I was surprised and shocked really that it is a real open world game.

Nintendo needs to bring out a successor. While it's not competing directly with PlayStation and Xbox the games are falling behind.

Other than Smash I can't think of many top tier fighters on the Switch.

I grabbed a Dragonball Z one on sale once which is pretty good.
Smash isn't traditional fighting game as well so it doesn't fill the void.

There's MK11 and DBZ but even those aren't my games. I'm a Street Fighter/Tekken kid from way back.

Although I don't mind Virtua Fighter and KOF but even those are not on Switch.

I think you'll need a Sony console for them then.

Sony have some arrangement with Capcom for SF and Tekken is synonymous with PS.

yeah but I can't justify getting a console for two games. I had a PS4 and only owned SFV and Tekken 7. At least on Switch I play other stuff so I guess I'll just watch from the sidelines, enviously :(

I'm pretty sure there's some version of Street Fighter on the Switch. Not sure which one though.
