Will ETH get the sack if we end up losing this?
No, we need a manager/coach till the end of the season. I read in the gossip column of the BBC web page today that Jim fancies Zidane.
I sincerely hope that’s bullshit as he has less experience than ETH, a few seasons at R Madrid and a ready made team does not make a manager for Utd.

This is definitely a winnable game.
Is Hojlund playing in this one?

Zidane doesn’t speak English and doesn’t want to manage in the UK.

If we had any shred of dignity or professionalism left in this club, I'd sincerely hope so. Season's done if we lose, say our thanks to Ten Hag and then get someone else in the summer. Top 4, not that we'll actually get it, shouldn't be enough to save him.

Dalot Evans Kambwalla maybe some youngsters too. „Funny” thing is we have Scotland’s CB but he might play as a striker for us
He hasn’t played as a CB for them since June 2022. EtH has tried Casemiro as a CB once, I believe, so I guess that’s an option.

    Think it’ll be Dalot-Kambwala-Evans-Lindelöf though.

Can see us getting done tonight.Don't think the players hearts are in it anymore.Either they don't like the manager or the writings on the wall with INEOS starting the clear out and they know most off them don't have a future here.IMO.

Very harsh on Zidane. He won 3 Champions League's in a row. That is incredible. Only reason he isn't at a major club right now is because of his own personal decision to take a break from it.

Whether or not his talents would translate to the Premier League is another matter, but to say he "doesn't make a manager for United" due to his "few seasons at Madrid" is mindboggling when he achieved what he did. I'd like to know what does make a United manager in your estimation

Has he actually built a team? Has he managed and proved himself at a club that didn’t have a ready made team? When things started to go downhill at Madrid he was off quicker than Husain Bolt in the 100M

I kind of hope Bruno can't play for a few matches as this will force ETH's hand and make changes.

I would go for something like

    ........Casemiro.....Mainoo
    Antony.......Amad........Garnacho
    ..................McT

It would be interesting and it just might be better than the usual. Cas and Mainoo have to stay back and rarely adventure forward.

Big game, for the club really. Live on terrestial telly... and Man Utd will be scutinised. ETH better have them prepped. We could beat Forest, it is only Forest ok.. but we have to be up for a fight. If we are not, in such a high-profile game, then there will be problems.. for sure.

Will ETH get the sack if we end up losing this?
I think they'd leave it till after the City game, if they are going to do it at all during the season. A loss to City and Forest and it's season over under ETH. It's just a question of whether they can identify somebody that could get results until the season end and get top 4, as unlikely as that would be. But it'd be seen as a free hit for them. The elephant in the room is the FFP situation and the pay out for ETH, which will be a factor too.

Lose this one and we’re looking at 3 losses in 1 week which will result in him being sacked next week.

A loss here and a battering at city and he probably gets sacked next week. Be harsh for anyone to come in for the city game when you want to try and build momentum.

I remember feeling more optimistic before we played Forest in that famous cup tie in 1990 than I do now.

It's gonna take a double digit victory for me to even consider it good enough.

    Also around 75% possession.

If that's not delivered they can all feck off.

Everyone is so pessimistic but considering we're the most up and down side ever I think we'll win this easily, the forum will rejoice, and then we'll get hammered by City.

Either way, does anybody want to go for a post-match Baba Doughs? Best pizza in Nottingham, guaranteed.

Entirely due to the completely abject display v Fulham im just not looking forward to this game. Footballs supposed to be entertaining and fun. Not with this bunch of lazy prideless crew (Hojlund, Garnacho and mainoo excepted.)
I'm so glad i gave up my season ticket, id be livid paying for so many tumescent and embarrassing displays at home this season.

its going to be the same as every other game, we will get overrun in midfield, concede about 20 attempts and then rely on the odd move of ours clicking. whoever takes their chances wins. and everytime we have a corner they will have more chances of actually scoring a goal.

Not sure why some of you bother supporting a football team.
I just dont think this team has it in them to win the cup. Id love to, and it would likely prove to be one of the tougher fa cups to win (barring some shocks and good draw) which would make it sweeter. But this team has shown all season that we dont know whats going to appear on the pitch on a given week and I just cant see us hitting the level in 4 matches in a row that would be needed to win the competition, given who is left.
