Gaming Official: Call of Duty Black Ops

I've played a lot of them because my housemate had them but I've changed houses since then. I'm not going to buy them until I finish uni and can play on my ps3 every day.
 
FAO rcoobc. I'm up for zombies if your game?

Been playing this again recently. Hidden in all my disappointment at personally not ever reaching the high love of 'COD4' again with the Call of Duty series, Black Ops 1 I have to say is really a great game, maybe the best after COD4 for me, maybe the best COD ever without my personal love and nostalgia for COD4, definitely much more to do. My favourite is zombies in Kino and the gun-game wager match, both just incredibly fun, along with a solid single player and online multiplayer.

If anyone wants to play some Kino zombies on PS3 let me know.
 
Never played Black Ops but I did play some COD 4 on PS3 a week or so ago. Quite a lot of hacking going on but its still great fun when you find a decent match

@Vidic_In_Moscow btw if you have a PS4 controller you can use it for the PS3 cods

Hey you may well have played with me! I played some too. My main account which is 10th Prestige went into a hacked lobby and I lost my prestige badge (:() so I started a new one to play properly all over again. Took me ages to set up, then in my 5th or so game I go into a lobby that automatically made me 10th Prestige 55 with all challenges completed.. proper annoying but yeah there are still a lot of TDM and S&D lobbies that aren't hacked, it was sweet to feel that I've 'still got it'. Thanks for the controller advice too, I quite like the PS3 controller though so I'm fairly indifferent.

I never bothered to prestige in cod and my account was on the normal max level. Wen't back to play a bit last year and found myself in a hacked lobby where my account was set to level 10 prestige with all the challenges completed. Was annoyed because I liked looking at the challenges and seeing what I had completed.

You should have a look at black ops 3 on PS4. It's the first cod I've bought since 4 and it's actually pretty good.

Likewise with Black Ops 1 mate, it's still extremely playable and like I say IMO maybe the best. If you loved COD4 then Black Ops 1 is your kind of game also. I might check out some reviews and videos for BO3, I'm glad that I was able to stop buying them every year a good 4 or 5 titles ago because they just turned into games that are not for me at all.

Yeah I've read online that BO1 is considered to be the best one but it's probably too late to go back to it now when I have the new one on PS4.

When I got Black Ops 3 I was expecting it to be really disappointing because of the jumping stuff and all the extra perks they've added (I only played 4 which had the UAV, airstrikes and helicopter). What I've found is that it's a lot more grounded than I expected as the people who start jumping around will just get killed quickly from people running on the ground. I've only played the hardcore mode though as I found that it removes most of the bloat that they've added and it's been great fun. I've been looking at gaming forums and BO3 is considered the best cod since the original BO so it's worth considering.
 
Black Ops 3 is brilliant! Haven't enjoyed CoD since Modern Warfare 2 which is 5-6 years ago now!

Even though I bought all the games in between that period, I rarely played it, at most I got to was 1 prestige :lol:

Because of that I am pretty average now, my K/D is around 1.00 :( at my peak during MW2 it was around 2.00
