What we're expecting from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Sunday’s game against Tottenham will be the first opportunity we have been given to see quite what an Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side is made of.

Mauricio Pochettino, the Spurs boss, might well see the game at Wembley as an audition for the permanent manager’s gig at Old Trafford, but, it’s worth remembering, Solskjaer has had United ticking along nicely since taking the reins on December 19.

Here’s what we’re expecting Solskjaer to be asked about this evening:

  • The warm-weather training camp in Dubai
  • Tottenham
  • Pochettino
  • Contracts: Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Ashley Young have still to sign new deals and are free to neogtiate with foreign clubs
  • United’s chances of reaching the top four in the Premier League

Get Herrera extended Ed!

Doesn't really answer the question. Who came up with the idea to have a press conference as soon as they get back in the country?

Q: How was Dubai?
OGS: Very good, very good, we had four good days of trainng, so I think the boys enjoyed it, we put a few principles down and they worked hard and enjoy working hard.

Q: Is Paul Pogba fit?
OGS: He looked ok towards the end so he’ll be fit. He did have some problems but came through the last couple of sessions well.

Q: Can you update us on Marcos Rojo's situation?
OGS: He’s gone back to Argentina for a while with his injury so how long is a piece of rope, it was mentally important for him to get away and come back fresh again.

Q: Have you made this team into your United team?
OGS: I think every single day and every game will get us closer and closer and we’ll get more of an understanding of how we want to play. The past five games haven’t been bad but there’s always things to work on, relationships, cohesion, so hopefully we’ll see a positive team.

Q: How would you assess the job Mauricio Pochettino has done at Tottenham?
OGS: He’s done a very good job, he’s one of the... the speculation is there for a reason because he’s done well but it’s not my job to rate different managers. My focus is on me and my team.

Q: What are your thoughts on Harry Kane?
OGS: He’s not bad is he? He’s a fantastic goalscorer, one of the best in the world to play up there, but then again I’ve got a couple I’m happy to work with. Having players like him, he’s a top top professional, whoever plays with him and trains with him can talk more about him but from the outside he’s a fantastic finisher, he never misses chances really so let’s make sure he doesn’t get any against us.

Q: Do Tottenham present your first real test as United manager?
OGS: No we’ve had tests. Newcastle away was a test, the first game how everyone reacted away to Cardiff was a test, the second game, how crowd would affect is a test... You get tested every single game in the Premier League but of course this is against a top top side and if we want to get close to them and go past them we will need a good performance and a good result.

Q: Can you update us on the contract situations at the club? Are there any incomings?
OGS: I read the news sometimes as well and the speculations around this club is amazing, incredible. Some players I’ve not even heard of have singed. I can’t comment on things like that but we’ve got (current) players we are in discussions with but that’s not down to my either.

Q: What will your approach be against Tottenham? (asked by Ingrid )
OGS: You always adapt to any opponent, we play one of the best teams in the league, have to be aware of their strengths but we need to attack teams, that’s our strength as well. Going forward, attacking both as a team and the way we played, we won’t get as many chances to attack against these as we’ve had before so we’ve got to be ready for when we got hold of the ball and play well with it because Wembley is a decent sized pitch.

It's almost 9pm on a Thursday. What is this all about?

Love how he catches himself and turns it back to about him and the team

Has anyone asked about Sanchez’s injury ? He’d be a great option from the bench if lingard isn’t working out considering his great record at wembley.

Nobody wants a slightly burnt player. Especially ones you've not even heard of.

Oh right.

Rojo's basically dead weight at this point. How many games has he missed for us since he joined?

She is something else isn’t she  what is it with Scandinavia and good looking people?

Wow who's that? 'No safety first' she said? Fine by me love, fiiiiine by me.

I'm asking a question, this is a forum with hundreds of other people who may know things I don't. Is it a foreign concept to you?

Why do you want to know specifically whose idea it was to hold a press conference at a certain time?
