World, quite comfortably.

Would be fun to see this in a more historical context, all time British vs rest of the world XI

British XI should win it, IMO. Denis Law was a better and more industrious forward than Van Nistelrooy or Van Persie or whoever else the opposition can field (like Yorke/Solskjær as mobile non-target forwards)...which makes him a pristine fit for a team with a plethora of stars, they have class options like Best/Giggs/Beckham for the wings vs. Cristiano + Nani/Kanchelskis/Park? for Za Wārudo, and a profoundly deep midfield of Charlton/Robson/Scholes/Edwards/Carrick/Ince/Stiles vs. Keane + Pogba with Cantona as support striker (which seems grossly unbalanced)? Only positions where Za Wārudo is noticeably better are centerback: Stam/Vidić/McGrath vs. Ferdinand + Foulkes/Pallister/Bruce, and goalkeeper: Schmeichel/Edwin/de Gea vs. Stepney, maybe fullback if we reckon Byrne couldn't deal with modern players from an athletic standpoint (then again Edwards could start at leftback with Neville on the right and he was a physical specimen) — but in all likelihood, that won't be enough to swing the theoretical match.

Also British managers like SAF and Sir Matt vs van Gaal, Jose, Ole.

Why is Best not in the Brit XI?
I'd probably go with Rafael at RB and Pogba instead of Park. Personally favor the World XI with that attacking trio of Best, Ronaldo, Cantona.
