Maybe because we arent interested or because he has already agreed to go somewhere (like Chelsea)?!

We have enough wingers at it is. I like Pedro, and would happily sell Young and replace him with Pedro, but Van Gaal wouldn't do that I don't think.

He's not worth €30 million. I think the main reason Mourinho is interested is because of his work rate. He works hard and chases the ball well into his own half. However offensively its been a while since he's done anything of note apart from that bicycle kick last season.

Surprised Bayern haven't been linked with him. Think he would do well under Pep again.

Not surprising when he can't get into the team because of Suarez, Neymar and Messi !!

He's not all that imo. He looked really good at time for Barca, but he's the kind of player I feel would look a bit out of place outside of that sort of setting.

He's a good bench player. Can play with both legs and his numbers are surprisingly high for a sub. 30m€ is a bit low in this market.

Think it's about right, really. A clear upgrade on Willian offensively, with just as much going back. Can see why Mourinho is interested.

He is a good 'bench player' that is priced low at 30m?? My god. How much is the correct price for such a bench player?

You agree that he is a bench player, and then go on to say he is better than Chelsea's starting player.

Wow guys.

He's a good bench player when you have Messi, Suárez and Neymar in your team. 11 goals 9 assists this season being a sub, 19 goals 13 assists last season. His numbers are very decent and consistent. Low key, hard worker, team player, he still has 3-5 years of football left and he probably has low-mid wages. I'd say 40m would be a fine price.

I'd keep him at Barcelona.

I find it curious that we (at least on the face of it) aren't in for him. He is available for a very good price, and has been part of a team that won everything. Probably around his prime now too.

Im convinced the players and system at barca brought about the absolute pinnacle of performance from him. i dont think he could replicate anywhere near his performances in the peak barca years at another club, especially not in the premier league.

That said, he's a great player, would probably start for us considering young will start the league season and di maria might not be here. however the elephant in the room for me, is if your willing to pay 30m pounds for pedro why would you not push the boat out more and try reus at a higher cost.

He's decent, nothing more. Wouldn't really want him at United as he's like 28 I think.

He's a good player and a consistent goalscorer. I was surprised at some of the negative comments thrown his way when there was talk of Liverpool interest. I'd take him, certainly.

This could be a fed story to use our name to gas Chelsea but if it's true, I'll be:

A) Furious that Di Maria looks like he's heading to the exit.

B) At least comforted that Pedro is arriving. He'd be my choice of arrival if ADM had to go. Safe ball player with a wonderful eye for goal and off the ball movement to rival the very best wide forwards not called Lionel or Cristiano.

He's always reminded me of a technically better Michael Owen. Hard to see what LvG would want with him though given he can't play as a lone striker, I also think it's unlikely to be a coincidence that our interest is suddenly on a back page just as Chelsea seemed likely to buy him.

I suppose he fits into Van Gaal's team oriented tiki taka retain posession system but he'd be quite underwhelming especially if it means Di Maria going.

He isn't a difference maker in that sense.

Would love Pedro here. Great player who more people would respect if he wasn't behind stuck on the bench due to Barca's ridiculous strike force. However, I don't want him instead of a proper striker

Hmmm - genuinely think an averageish player....perhaps just above average, but no where near tier 1.

I've always liked him. Not WC but definitely an effective and hard working player. Excellent technically and can be a good goal scorer. If we plan in going for the 4-3-3 then he'd be perfectly suited on the wing.

Would certainly fuel doubt in ADM's future.

I'd snap him up at that price in an instant. He's a top player and can play in a 4-3-3 what we should be looking at.

Pedro, AdM, Januzaj, Depay are enough options to have out wide with Rooney on top.

I'd much rather us to go for more fluid type attackers like Pedro and Reus rather than Kane, Benteke etc...

I'm a fan of him. Di Maria is far and away a better player, but he doesn't seem suited to United or LvG at this moment in time. Pedro will work hard and looks very suited to possession football. He's got a lot of pace and is a good dribbler too. Can beat a defender, good finisher, his goals/assists numbers are very good for a squad player.

I reckon he'd be a concrete starter for just about any club outside of Barca and Madrid, who both have an elite front three. In today's market, £22m isn't a massive fee, and if Di Maria is off, then Pedro could do well here.

We should only look at him if Di Maria is definitely off and we have no chance of getting him to stay. Otherwise, centre back and centre forward needs to be the ultimate priority.

Was very good a few years ago, not sure what he's like now.

If Di Maria is leaving then he might be a nice fit. With Depay, Pedro and Mata competing for wing spots we'd at least have a fair goal threat from out wide...

I like Pedro but if we signed him it means Di Maria is pretty much gone. Doesn't seem that logical really.

Quite decent as a wide forward, not sure how he'd do if asked to be a proper winger as LvG likes his wide men staying wide.

You forgot Young and Mata ? Like they were our starting wide players when we settled on 4-3-3 last season.
