Ødegaard over Mount and that's a serious team.

Harsh on Sancho too.

Robertson is 25

Edit: why wouldn't Messi be captain if you can include any 1 player above 25?

How old is Van der Beek and Valverde?
Haaland is overrated as a starter. He should be a sub on the bench.

Actually under 23 or Euro under 23s. Because the Euro Under 23s are under 25s by the time of the finals

First:
Donnarumma
TAA - De Ligt - Upamecano - Hakimi
De Jong
Havertz - Zaniolo
Sancho - Mbappe - Rashford
Second:
Onana
AWB - Gomez - D. Sanchez - Chilwell
Ndidi
Odegaard - Valverde
Werner - Haaland - L. Martinez
Obviously front 3 are all strikers in the second, but whatever. Had to fit them in.

Hasn't De Ligt been a bit shit since leaving Ajax (and not having VvD next to him)? I haven't been watching too much but remember earlier in the season he was poor.

Front 3 is definitely Mbappe, Sancho and Rashford, Mbappe in the middle, Sancho on the right and Rashford on the left.

De Jong is definitely in the midfield. De Ligt is definitely one of the defenders. Donnarumma is the keeper. TAA is the right back. I've heard amazing things about Upamecano as well.

Donnarumma

TAA Upamecano De Ligt ?????

De Jong
????? ?????

Sancho Mbappe Rashford

Not sure who to put in the last 3 spots. Odegaard? dont know enough about how he's played this season. same goes for valverde. Who is even out there at left back as well? Also how good is Soumare? does he contend for this team. hes apparently an extremely promising and talented young midfielder.

Haaland can be the super sub for the above team haha.

I thought he was a bit shit (maybe massively overrated is the right word) at Ajax as well to be honest - the talent is clearly there though. Joe Gomez is miles ahead at the moment IMO.

He had a shaky start and is now having ups and downs, but the truth is Sarri wouldn't place him at the team if he wasn't the best choice. I think it's a matter of him getting experience.

Robertson is 25

The only reason for that is that he must be Robertson himself. Can't see another reason not to include Ronaldo or Messi given the choice.

There isn't many world class stand out LB in the world though especially under 21 except maybe the likes of the Bayern lad.

I mean when you are considering starting someone like a Chilwell at LB for a world class Robertson then it's not that complex why someone wouldn't start Messi or Ronaldo when they have the likes of Sancho, Haaland, Mbappe, Rashford, the Inter lad to choose from - the younger attackers are on a different level to most of the younger level LB's; it's why I purposely chose an over 23 Laporte at LCB as a left footed CB because I didn't think there is many left footed centre backs that are actually good & tactically I would like a left footed one a bit like LVG & Pep if I could get one.

There's still some quality players, like Davies (the one you mention), Lodi who's being a good surprise at Atletico, Theo Hernandez is doing a very good season despite Milan being crap, and you still have that wonder kid that Juve loaned out named Pellegrini.

But your reasoning made me feel more sympathetic for Robertson's choice.

Exactly so! I chose Robertson who captains his country, arguably the best attacking LB in the world. Also there isn't an abundance of top young LB's. As you quite rightly say, the young attackers take care of themselves. It's all about the balance and enthusiasm. Therefore no Messi or Ronaldo in my young team.

Well, we are on an English board.
True, but there's plenty of posters from abroad on here and I'm sure that players like TAA, Sancho and Rashford wouldn't be that contreversial anywhere.
