Sterling.

Important goals in the group stages and put on excellent performances in the knockouts.

Out of everyone. Not just England.

Why give us a choice and then say actually you can pick anyone....

Probably Sterling. Maguire and Shaw have done themselves and United proud though.

He fluffs his lines far too much, if Shaw had as many off moments as Sterling does, we’d be conceding goals, Sterling’s luxury of playing as an attacker masks his shortcomings.

In terms of consistency it’s got to be Shaw. In terms of impact it’s Grealish.

Donnarumma or Bonucci for me. Both have been immense for Italy.

Shaw, he has been top class for England.

Sterling, Spinazzola, Shaw, Jorginho and Maehle. Probably in that order, so Sterling it is then.

He quite clearly means that it’s quite clearly one of those players given the choice of the entire tournament.

You’re more than welcome to suggest some other players but I can tell you with complete confidence that all of your suggestions are wrong.

For England:
  1. Sterling
  2. Shaw
  3. Maguire
For Italy:
  1. Jorginho
  2. Spinazzola
  3. Bonucci
Sterling will win best player, it's probably locked in already tbh.

Pedri will win the best young player if that's a thing.

If we win Sterling (unless Kane scores a final hat-trick or something)

If Italy win Bonucci, would have been Spinning Zola without the injury though

As of this moment, I think it must be Sterling. But we have 1 more game.

Shaw has also been monstrous, as has Maguire.

Kane has really stepped up in the past 3 matches as well.

Is this question asking who we think has been the best player at this tournament or who we think will actually win the best player award?

Because if it’s the latter, then I’d say Sterling. If it’s the former then I’d have to say that the guy I’ve enjoyed watching most out of everyone is Paul Pogba.

Who we think is the best player of the entire tournament, with those in the title being the obvious choices

Sterling , important goals , great work rate , forced the issue last night by constant running at their defence then was instrumental in keeping the ball and toying with the Danes after Kane put us in front.

Sterling has been our best, and most important player.

one would assume whoever wins on Sunday, one of their players will win this prestigious award.

He might not get it but Maguire must be atleast part of the conversation. England have the best defensive record in the tournament and Maguire is an important part of it .

Pogba was in the discussion a couple of weeks ago, but his team let him down and they went out too early for him to be considered a genuine contender.

Sterling for me. He's been vital to every single victory in one way or another.

England's beat players have been

Sterling
Shaw
Maguire
Kane

In that order.

Kane was shite until Germany and came alive since.

All 4 will probably make team of the tournament.

I feel it'll come from England or Italy as they are the finalists so I'll probably go depending on who wins the final to Sterling or Barella.

If it goes to a non-finalist I'd plump for Maehle or Kjaer

Jorginho or Mount. Maybe James or Emerson, depends on what happens in the final.
Mount does absolutely nothing for my tastes. Clearly he does something right because both of his managers and his ex manager think he's vital. I just can't work out what it is he does.

Jorginho has impressed me. I like him.
