Even with Arsenal having 20 quid as a transfer budget, us losing two of our best players and replacing with younger less proven players, and Chelsea being able to sign no-one, I’d be very surprised if the
‘Top 6’ doesn’t finish as the Top 6.

The lack of quality in that squad is terrible. Even the players who are going to start are not good enough eg Jones, Smalling, Matic, Martial, Lingard Rashford. I honestly thought this was the season we would rip it all up and have a total rebuild. I have no problem with players like James, Longstaff coming in, but clearly they are not first team players. At a minimum we still need 3 first team players.
Pogba returned for action this morning (Sunday) having flown back from New York on Saturday evening. He was driven into Carrington in the back of a Mercedes van... and HERE is a picture. Pogba, we are assured is in the back. The guy in the front is not Pogba. It is someone else. How do we know? Because he doesn't look like him.
Bring in quality additions such as Milinkovic-Savic and Fernandes, and suddenly, it doesn't look so bad. However, you and I both know we won't bring both in.
Too many people are moaning and need to calm down a little bit. Next season when Pogba, Martial and Lukaku have left and nobody decent wants to sign for us because we finish in 7th so therefore we are deemed as the new 90s Liverpool and can only sign players from Newcastle and Bolton we'll look back at this squad and wish we had players of this quality back.

Dammit, my kid was trying to butt scoot across the carpet when I was going to type Martial and I guess subconsciously that made me type Lingard instead.
The problem is that, and I haven't got a spreadsheet to back this up so maybe I'm wrong, in previous years these types of threads would be called pessimistic and over the top, whereas most people have dealt with us playing like shite for too long now and have began to accept that unless we buy a completely new squad we're up shit creek with Lingard and Matic still playing.

This is basically the same group of players that had us in relegation form for the last few months of the season so it's actually not that hard to believe.
