Any idea what formation we were playing once Cavani and Pogba came on?Very easy to defend a team with no actual wingers, and full backs not good going forward. No idea how we actually were going to score.
Cavani has a good wander round, not sure he had any idea where he was meant to be.

Players were awful but there are so many times we can say the same thing. Ole loses 2/3 games then goes on a decent run but thats not good enough to keep his job. Time to go now.
There will be no decent run this time. Luck eventually runs out and you're exposed. In football and in life.

Another record broken via us. First win, first goals in the champions league. Bet Ole can't wait for Ancelotti.

What are they doing during the week? Practicing poker? Could not pass, could not find a open space. This is terrible. Ole needs to go now.

Lost for words with that performance.

So let me forecast our CL 20/21 season. We finish second and then meet Bayern then it’s lights out.

Not sure why everyone is saying our defenders were rubbish, Rafael was great!

Terrible 1st half. Then played some kind of offensive formation in the 2nd but didn't have the slightest idea how to score. It's mind blowing really. I'm sad for Ole but enough is enough.

Kitchen Sink thrown. Full of holes
Awful attacking play.

At least Mou was effective.

This is very worrying; we have no clue how to break teams down and it is incredibly worrying. We look completely clueless in attacking play. Huff and puff and tippy tappy outside the box or on the wing.

No penetration. Poor play

One positive was better passing from the first phase but simply a collection of individuals with no control or idea of how the play should progress. No urgency. Everyone up but no movement in sync.

This is on Ole. He has to coach the team better in variation and tempo.

Writing is on the wall for Ole after that. Horrible performance.
Absolutely horrific, new manager will need to come in, sell Pogba finally, and get them consistently putting performances.

That midfield. Jesus Christ. Matic wandering about paying no attention to BA for the first.
Matic Mata and VDB painfully slow, Bruno missing.
Tactics appeared to be pass it forward through the middle, and with martial or Bruno will flick it to skrtl.
Pogba came on and did the same.
Cavani is shit.

Horrid. Get rid of Ole now.

His starting lineup, shape and lack of clear plan yet again. God awful and weird subs then ontop of it - and we played worse with is changes.

The direction we are moving in under Ole is not a good one.

Dog shit, I'm sick of it, they were wank and we should have buried them and be sitting on 9 points and playing the reserve team next game.

Where the grass is greener.
Totally blown the group wide open again, the advantage we had squandered, but that's only part of the story really.

I can't be fecked to watch this utter filth over and over again.

Where were captain slabhead or Tuanzebe for the first goal? Could see Matic and Tuanzebe trying to Track back but Maguire was not even in our own half when the goal went in.

The defensive errors in this game and spurs game is shocking.

And what do they have in common? No Lindelöf on the pitch.

Sell £80 mill slabhead NOW!

Said it after Arsenal and will say it again - there is a mentality issue here that needs to be stemmed quickly. These boys are talented but regularly attempt to coast in games against lesser opposition. There's an obvious dip in commitment and concentration levels when we think we're better than the opposition and this has shown up time and time again this season.

By the time we wake up, it's too late

I am beyond dissapointed in the team.

This is one of the games where you are supposed to show up, don't feck up, and collect 3 points. Instead we give the game away by awarding a goal following what is one of the most horrendous communication errors I've witnessed in professional football.

Not one single player had a good game, or even a acceptable game outside of Henderson. No one are forgiven. Donate your fecking week wages to the Manchester Childrens Hospital and take a bus home.

Extremely uninspired performance all around. And we would even have won if not for two shambolic goals in the first half.

Agreed. There's no doubt in my mind that the team approached this match based on Istanbul's previous results.

Most frustrating game ever... I think they were stunned by the ferocity of the crowd. A terrible game to watch, unless you enjoy seeing professional footballers bumble around with no creative spark whatsoever.

Scot Mc T and Luke Shaw were solid but sadly got let down by all the others. Must try harder....see me in the morning.

Each individual player thread will have loads of posters tearing into them but ultimately when a team of objectively good players can't play well consistently and play without any game plan or purpose, then it's not on the individuals.

It’s far too easy to win against us. All you need to do is score at least one of the half-dozen chances our defenders will put on a plate for you then sit back and watch us pass the ball from one fullback all the way over to to the other fullback.

Sometimes taking 40 passes to do it, sometimes when Pogba is playing, with one pass. While players queue up in the middle to head a cross which never beats the first man.

if you don’t score an early goal, just wait because we’ll give you a penalty at some point later on.

Anyone think this could unravel and end up being curtains for us in the Champions League? Our next game is so important to win. I can definitely see us losing away to Leipzig and home to PSG.
