This has really made my weekend. I can't even begin to describe how much better I feel about the world.

Martial and Rashford were incredible. Mata and Lingard, very good. It was the front four that impressed me the most today (front five if you include Demechelis).

In defence, only Smalling looked United level. Aguero is one the best players in the world but he was marshalled brilliantly all game. Darmian, Rojo and Blind need to look at themselves.
Huh? Blind was our best defender today. Smalling should have got sent off.

It is another false dawn. We all know it.
It's impossible to not think that but we've got to hope haven't we? My ideal (given current circumstances) end to season is win the cup, finish 4th and let LVG bow out with pride before appointing Jose.

Will it happen? Very possibly not but really hope it does

A very much needed win. Rashford did brilliantly and Martial and Smalling were also very good. The fact we still won despite the ridiculous refereeing is itself a massive achievement.

Random question, but when is De Bruyne coming back. He was starting to look good for them before he got injured. Think he will be a big factor for them next year under Guardiola.

CB partnership was excellent although Smalling could have been sent off, however we should have had a pen so honors even in the befitting from ref feck ups department. I also thought Rashord and Martial were excellent up top, they are so threatening with their pace and skill, great to watch. I also thought Lingard had a good game and while Carrick is a liability when we are out of possession, he was good on the ball and did seem to be talking to and o0rganging the younger players.

I have to say though that bar Aguero their lot don't look like they give a shit anymore, I guess it's because he's the only one who is certain to be a main player under Pep.

Same old shit

Screwed by the ref
Can't play two decent halfs after another
Either playing to slow or too fast and loosing possession
Wasteful in passing and chances

We should have been above WHU on goal difference

This just summarises LVG's philosophy. This is his archetypal game, where we make something of each chance, half-chance even.

Delighted for Rashford - his play belies his years. What a gem we have on our hands. Some of the link-up play between him, Lingard and Martial was awesome.

If not for the bottler Oliver, we could've made this a much more comfortable victory. Though he did even out that bottle-job with the non-sending off of Smalling.

I'm just praying this isn't another false dawn.
That comment n'aint one bit irrational.

People need to stop asking if 4th is on. Let's take it a game at a time. Good performance. We played well first half and dug in during the second. Nice goal.

Look at the youngsters coming through: Rashford, Martial, TFM, Wilson, Shaw, Mitchell, Januzaj, Pereira... All 20-ish.

City? Kelechi IpcsjfpkwmepoqwdpkmaskdaspisadpSODJPADFPAKMDFAskdnsdacho.

Enjoy this performance and win for now, but yes we are predictably unpredictable.

Next two league games are Everton and Spurs - I haven't got a fecking clue how they will work out. We could end with 6 points or 0.
We do ok against teams willing to come out and play us, results wise any way.

So good brilliant win we needed it more than ever. Top 4 still within reach now from that result but only just, we always fluff it against the crap teams whereas city are flat track bullies and blow teams like Norwich etc away.
Yep, they totally blew Norwich away last round with that 0-0.
