Got very lucky. We can talk about shape and individuals but what stood out was match fitness and readiness, Utd were well behind Wolves in that regard, bad look for the coaches.

Enthusiasm for the season gone after one game. That was so so poor.

Jesus Christ that performance was awful. Disjointed, walking about the pitch like a pre season game.

Take the 3pts but shameful stuff.

Have we done any training as a group at all?

Wolves were great but we were so far off it. Play like that against a decent side and we will be lucky to walk away with a loss in single figures.

Absolutely awful. Terrible. I am genuinely scared of what might happen this season.

We won. That's the best thing I can say about that. Worried for the weekend.

Three points but very worrying how tired we looked. I thought March to May last season was us being leggy, but it looked the same.

Cannot believe how we were cut apart time and time again with ease. Sloppy passing. Second to every ball. No end product. Really bad.

We move on but feck me.

We have no midfield. Mount was the wrong signing and we should have bought a younger player to eventually replace Casemiro.

I have zero idea how we have won this game.

Don't care if it was a penalty or not. We won. Not our problem.

Awful performance, as usual.

With todays player prices, we honestly need to spend like a billion to get us challenging on all fronts like the old days, i'm being serious as well.

How is it possible to have eleven players on eleven different wave lengths? Nothing was coherent. Feck me, we haven't brought in that many new faces.

First game of the season and all, and this is clearly an overreaction, but I have to downgrade my expectations for the season.

It’s what champions do, they win games like that when they should be losing

I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a game against these bastards. Glad that’s out of the way.

Terrible, if Wolves could actually finish a chance we would have been screwed. We are going to get another 6-3/7-0 style hammering this season if we play like this and come up against a team who can take their chances.

Hard to see where goals will come from right now. Hopefully Hojlund will add some attack to the team because there was no heart in that.

What's the point in replacing De Gea with a keeper that 'can start attacks' if our entire team stays static the second he gets the ball.

3 points in a tough start. Clearly some cobwebs still. Got away with it but 3 points.

That was appalling. We deserved to lose.

Signs were there preseason in the performances.

Outplayed from start to finish. Lucky to come away with the 3 points. Huge improvements needed next weekend.
