The Premier League has announced that on the 19th April, they will induct the first two members into the Hall of Fame.

The first two entrants are retired players, before a further 6 will be inducted following a poll of fans.

Who are the first two in your opinion?

For me, Alan Shearer and Ryan Giggs.

If you're feeling adventurous, let's hear your remaining 6.

It’ll be one United player and one Liverpool player. Giggs and Gerrard probably and everyone will laugh at the fact Gerrard was chosen despite lifting a grand total of 0 EPL trophies.

I don't know whether just me being biased, but I just can't see how Gerrard gets near it?

Problem is, if its open to fans, anything could happen!

Has to be one of Henry Shearer Cantona as the first inductee.
Would have said Giggs but with his criminal case still unresolved then probably not

Is it just players or will managers be in it too?

Agree with the OP, my first two picks are Giggs & Shearer

It should probably be Giggs & Shearer. Although with Giggs current legal issues they might go with someone else. Perhaps Cantona or Henry?

I’d probably do Cantona and Henry as the first two with Shearer close in behind. Then a bunch of United greats like Giggs/Scholes/Keane.

Looking for the answers...
Shearer and Henry are the two inaugural inductees.

How / where can we vote for who going’s them? I’m a bit salty that a United player wasnt chosen over Henry.

Edit: apparently voting opens on the PL website / app after 19:00 tonight.

They should make it exclusive - like 4 entrants a year or something. These things can quickly become worthless when the floodgates are opened.

SAF and Wenger should be the first two managers inducted.

Has to be Giggs in the next induction of players.
John Terry is a good candidate too imo.

Sun Jihai.

He's in the English Football Hall of Fame so surely he makes just the Premier League one. Still pisses me off that. The government leaned on them to induct him to coincide with a visit to the UK from Xi Jinpeng for diplomacy reasons and they agreed even though he was shit.

Chelsea (the saviours of football) fan.
If it´s on the merit of being a nice bloke then no.. If it´s on the merit of being awesome at football then of course he should.
Nah, not if he's convicted of the charges up against him. He won't go in for a long time.

These hall of fame things are bullshit anyway. Everyone knows how good Giggs was.

Absolutely gobsmacked a United player hasn't been chosen first on this, we've won the Premier league 13 times!!!

Cantona or Keane. Has to be one or the other because Giggs can't be inducted clearly.
