Who gets in?

Players who wouldn't be considered among the greats, but are still memorable for one reason or another.

So far I have.

Richard Dunne - Scoring own goals
Ben Thatcher - Attempted decapitation
Ali Dia - George Weah's cousin
Wiston Bogarde - Honouring his contract
Duncan Ferguson - Home Security
Rory Delap - Ridiculous throws

These two might be considered good to great, but they are still infamous in the annuls of the PL, so fit the criteria for the thread, I'd say.

Tevez and Mascherano rocking up at a club like West Ham ushered in a new age of contract chicanery that was a pre-cursor to what was to come.

Nobody, not even West Ham, could believe two stars of South American football would turn out for them; nothing as mental has been seen since.

Wouldn’t that be Frank Sinclair? Always remembered him as the infamous own goals scorer

Dunn scored lot of own goals but the king if Carragher, iirc he scored more goals against Liverpool than for them

Dunne was a fantastic player, but he is the record holder for PL own goals scored with 10 and is also joint red card record holder with 8, along with Viera and Big Dunc.

Fair aye,
10 is bonkers, braver than some others which probably contributed to some of those OG's, would never give anything up

Thought about Tugay, hell of a player, he scored some absolute belters.

You could add.

Tony Yeboah - he's basically remembered for scoring 2 great goals and that's about it.

Jason Lee - "he's got a pineapple on his head".

Phil Babb for his collision with the post.

Squillaci was actually a very good CB during his career. Things just didn't worked out for him as expected at Arsenal.

It was jaw dropping when these two were confirmed as West Ham players.

Yes, huge expectations when he came onboard... probably what kept us persevering for as long as we did.

Got this far without mentioning the Stevie Me slip. Never won and blew his best chance in a vital moment. Beautiful moment.
