So he's looking for a move?
His agent says that Eriksen is "happy" at Spurs, adding "if money were the most important thing, he wouldn't have joined Tottenham three years ago. He had interest from some of the richest clubs in the world."

Following on from the media-reports of his (alleged) huge wage increase demand, Eriksen himself tweeted yesterday "dont believe everyting u read on the internet".

Spurs supposedly looking at Adrien Silva of Porto as a replacement. Doubt there is any point in dealing with Levy over Eriksen, though I have always liked him as a player.
Oh I was suggesting we should try for him, he's a good player but not what we need IMO, and yes, dealing with Levy is like water torture.

If Eriksen was angling for a move then it would not have served this purpose for his agent to come out and say he's happy at Spurs, or for the player to poo-poo the media reports. They would simply have kept quiet.

Come on, loads of players have said they are happy where they are and then been gone the week after, it means nothing, especially given the fact Levy is a tyrant, the last thing you would do is antagonize him by angling, you play it calm.

Saying nothing is playing it calm. If you want a move you don't come out and say you're happy and poo-poo stories that claim you want a lot more money.

If it's a contest for the truth that pits media click-bait stories against Eriksen and his agent, I know which side my money is on.

Of course you do because you have delusions of grandeur when it comes to Spurs, you are ignoring the dozens and dozens of players to claim they are happy where they are to placate the fans and then turn around and leave, only God knows. :)

Well, I'll leave it there since this is not the thread to continue further about this. I'll just say that Eriksen isn't going to be sold this summer unless both (a) some overseas club comes in with a mega offer that will help fund the new stadium and (b) Pochettino sanctions the sale because has a locked-in replacement lined up that he regards as just as good or better.

I'm sure he wont be sold this season, Spurs are like Napoli and Lyon, they hold players to ransom, so it will take time to extricate himself from Levy.
