Tried not to put the same artist on more than once, but fecking hell, some bands are just epic to the max. I feel these are the albums I can always go back to and still enjoy no matter what. I find it strange my Maiden albums when I thought about it, each is completely different. Sorry for the basically rock/metal genre, but I get bored of other genres musics once I've heard it a few times.. Now I've listed them I can't decide what to listen to tonight :s

Virtual XI made it on there before Number of the Beast, Somewhere In Time, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, Piece of Mind and a host of others i can't think of right now? I mean, i do like Virtual XI but it doesn't beat any of those for me.

I think it's because it's a completely different style of album, with some epic songs on, different vocalist too (Who is nowhere near the standards of Dickinson). I don't know why I rate it above some of those you've mentioned, I find it strange myself. You must listen to the Sentenced album I listed, and also the King Diamond one Swaggy  King Diamonds is class. Story albums rule!

I'll be home about 2pm and will pull them all off and collate the scores, compile the top 50 and will do the countdown either this evening or Tuesday when I'm off work. Cheers to all who have got involved!

EDIT: I'm in the process of totaling everything up. The final 50 will be up in the coming days!

I'm getting to the final totals so if there's any late additions, please add them now or forever hold your peace (until the next time we do this)
