He's more of a satirist and a comic writer though than someone that fits the general theme here of comedian or comedic actor.

Yeah, I agree - he is insanely talented and was good at all of it. Love them, I still watch old episodes of Brass Eye to this day.

Richard Pryor should win because he was a great stand up and a great comedic actor. Same with Eddie Muphy (although since 1990 his stuff has been utter dogshit, Shrek aside).
