I've only included players from my era:

1) Cantona
2) Scholes
3) Beckham
4) Giggs
5) Schmeichel
6) Keane
7) Vidic
8) Ronaldo
9) Ferdinand
10) Stam

Herrera and Rashford are the ones from the current crop who may appear on the next update of this. Evra, Neville and Irwin should really have made the list but didn't know who to leave out. Curse of the full back.

No Whiteside in your list?
Brought me on board when I didn't give a flying one for any football team. 1985 9 yrs old I became a red... Extra time 10 men where tf was Nev Southall? Right he's on the subs bench along with Herrera... but I need to put Herrera in too... Can I change my mind? 10 isn't enough

This was harder than I thought because of how things have gone for some of the retired players. Becks was one of my favorite player for a number of years but he’s embarrassing to put high in a list like this. Giggs tainted himself with the affair so it’s hard for me to judge him now. Lots of honorable mentions could be added too.

Why? What is wrong with Becks?

Looking back on it makes you realise how important Robson was to United in the 80s.

4- De Gea
5- Ferdinand
6- Van Nistelrooy
7- Scholes
8- Saha
9- Veron
10- Ibrahimovic

Funny putting a list like this together, 1-5 was easy, Ruud and Scholes had to be on the list somewhere as well but then putting someone like Ibra over RVP when the latter won us a title and Veron who is often branded a flop over someone like Keane it sounds like madness but then I guess that's the point of the thread, it's not about who contributed the most, or who was the better player, it's who your favourite players were for whatever the reasons

Haha I don’t know I just kind of do. I suppose it’s that it feels like he has become more known for being a “brand” than a great player. But I was obsessed with him when I was a kid so I can’t deny that he’s one of my favorite players.

I wish I was old enough to have seen some more of the players that would make a “top united players of all time” sort of list because it feels strange leaving so many out. But when you didn’t see them play in the moment you just don’t have the same emotional attachment as you do to the players that you have seen.

Wow, it's hard and it will be criminal leaving out some of the names I do, being older than many on here. Pretty certain I'd give you a different answer tom too. This top 10 feels solid, but no idea on order.

1. Scholes
2. Keane
3. Schmeichel
4. Giggs
5. Beckham
6. DDG
7. Ruud
8. Yorke
9. Gary Nev
10. Cantona

Oh god that list has Cantona so low, no Stam, Rio, Irwin, Vidic, Cole, Park Sheri, etc...Mark Hughes' volleys in the late 80s/early 90s was something else.

Some there on ability, some there on good memories, some for what they represent within the club, some there for sheer favouritism that's hard to pinpoint, some for sheer personality and others a mix of all factors.
