Anyone keeping an eye on the Belgium First Division A this season?

Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, who were promoted back to Belgium's top division for the first time in 48 years earlier this year, are occupying first place in the league after 15 games, with a 7-point lead ahead of Royal Antwerp and Club Brugge.

Best defence in the league with 14 goals conceded and best attack with 40 goals scored.

Can they go all the way and re-write the history books by winning the title?

The Belgian league is always mental. They’ll drop off after a while and when the playoffs start for the title later in the year someone boring like Brugge will win it.

Last season Beerschot came up and until about Christmas they were top of the league with insanely high scoring matches. They ended up 8th in the end I think

Aye that's a very good point, completely forgot about their play-off system. It doesn't really allow lower teams to pull off title wins to be fair.
