So this is now into season 2 of the Paolo Sorrentino HBO series. The first season was called the "The Young Pope", and a few weeks ago HBO released the follow up second season entitled "The New Pope". What can I say about this show, other than it is the best series currently on television, for me. It is brilliantly acted throughout, and beautifully shot. It can be completely wacky and irreverent at times, making it unlike any other mainstream show I've seen. Yet I find it so brilliantly compelling. Jude Law is absolutely terrific, as is the addition of John Malkovich in season 2. I strongly recommend this for a quality binge watch, (maybe along with some mild drugs). It's fantastic.
