Oh yeah I don't doubt it but it's pretty easy to see which character is on fire in the trailer unless that's a scene that doesn't make the final cut

Interested. The original movie is great as a hybrid parody/serious thriller. It seemed to have this lovely sense of self-awareness while being faithful to the genre. Wes Craven did a good job.

The immediate follow-ups weren't as good but I don't remember them devolving into terribleness as some horror series are prone to.

I think overall, the sequal's were fine in their own way and they maintained the formula well. Some series changed so much they lost their way.

Scream the original, brought slasher films back to prominence and deserves praise.
