It’s been that way since 2009? Akin to zombie passing thread, this thread isn’t saying anything different, but what it does highlight — is that; we’ve been idle for 10 years, or so!
Big, ambitious clubs move on and evolve. They invest.. generate new ideas and they reinvigorate themselves. We’ve done absolutely fecking nothing outside corporate fecking dining experience. It’s absolutely fecking astounding that a professional sports team/sports person would stay idle for a decade without evolving tactically.
This happened under Sir Alex Ferguson but he papered over the cracks by being the best manager ever and by sheer individual brilliance from Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.
McKenna and Carrick are apparently the fecking best new minds coming through and we’ve seen that from McKenna’s u18’s team but what the feck are we doing? Honestly, I just want to stab my fecking eyes out after six years.
