Shaw and Maguire have just delivered big time on the international stage whilst Rashford and Sancho have had little opportunity to shine and have both got to get over the penalty trauma. Greenwood will be determined to make the WC after missing out this time around and is another with a point to prove.

All should be flying next season for a number of different reasons and motivations.

Here's to all of them having a fantastic season for United and taking that into next year's WC. You may be on the floor right now lads but next season you could have some club and international silverwear in your hands.

Rashford will have to buck up if he wants to be there. Foden, Grealish, Sancho, Mount, Sterling and Saka are all ahead of him right now. Greenwood may well add to that.

You'd hope Shaw, Maguire and Sancho will be 3 of the first names on the team sheet.

Regardless of the form that Rashford was in, this is the problem when you are a false 9. He can't replace Kane because he can't play that role, if you have to choose a left wing, Sterling must be 1st choice, Grealish 2nd, and yes, even Foden is in better form than Rashford.

I mean there is no logic in Saka or Foden bring ahead of him, because it certainly isn't based on what he's done on a football pitch over each of the past 2 seasons. Unless everything is based on the most recent 3 months of form with an injured player.

Would like to see when Foden or Saka have more productive seasons than Rashford. Or back to back 20 goal seasons. All wingers so what's stopping them?

Marcus will be back, he is a class act and not only as a footballer.

This lad is all about self-motivation and improvement, he bleeds Manchester United and he is a proud member of an England team that reflects the diversity of the UK. Take time to get over this huge disappointment that you don't deserve and come back better than ever.

Sancho will be an automatic starter. Henderson should replace Pickford. Shaw and Maguire obviously. Rashford even split with a few others. Greenwood fringe still, he'll replace Kane long term.

I think it's made me more excited for United's season as I see all of them really motoring on ready for the WC.

Sancho and Rashford will have a point to prove and Greenwood will want to make his mark.

Maguire and Shaw have both had outstanding tournaments and plenty to build on.

Looks great for United (and England)

Under any other manager, Saka and Mount would NEVER have been ahead of Sancho or Foden.

Luke Shaw was magnificent. England's player of the tournament but I would have loved him to have took one of the penalties.
