I'd open with Boycott and Atherton 37 for 0 after 50 overs. <img src="graemlins/yawn.gif" border="0" alt="[Yawn]" />

well...they've postponed the press conference by a few hours, yeah, seems no-one knows for sure at the moment, what the decision will be...

you'd think after receiving death threats, they'd steer clear, tho. <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

apparently been confirmed that England have pulled out. Good job an all. Imagine having to shake hands with Mugabe or one of his cronies.

a disgrace that the government haven't done more to back the cricketers on this.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the govt. were for them pulling out. Wasn't it the ECB who wanted them to play??

Sri Lanka aren't much better!

If you don't qualify from that group... i suggest New Zealand should give up cricket.....and find sommat else to be crap at.........like football!

Considering WI just beat the hosts and SL just thrashed NZ, I think you are a bit off the mark there, giggzy.

The English are a disgrace to World Cricket. They should play in Zimbabwe. While I oppose Bob's reign in Zim and think that it may be wrong to play there, the ICC must make the decision. If Eng want to play in the World Cup, they should play every game. Conceding 4 pts to Zim could upset the balance of the group and they could go through to the next phase at the expense of Pakistan or India(not likely, but possible, all the same) If they dont want to play in Zim, they should stay at home. Bloody idiots.

Absolute bollcks that statement. If the ICC haven't got the balls to stand up and show their disgust at Mugabe's regime then it's up to England to do it for them. The ICC were wrong for ever allowing games to be planned for Zimbabwe while the current political situation exists. I wonder how much money has passed under the table to a few of the ICC delegates in all of this.

No. If England don't want to play in Zim, they shouldn't come here at all. After dismissing the death threat as a hoax, they have suddenly decided it is serious after all. They should come to the World Cup to fulfill all their commitments and not to whine like a bunch of 2 year olds. They have lost their court case and should play. If they decide not to, they should not get a share of the points. Why should Zim lose points at England's expense, when Eng arent even playing them?? Demanding a share of the points is cheeky and ridiculous on their part. I, as well as many South Africans have lost all respect for the English team and now regard them as the whining losers of World Cricket.

What a disgrace that the ICC are allowing matches to be played in country where it's regime are on the verge of starving millions of its population for political gain.
It's a shame that it was the england players who have had to make this decision, the british government should have intervened and forced the team to pull out of the match.
