So are we just going to ignore the yellow shorts then?

Seriously, why?

I knew United weren’t winning when they came out with those on. Like that time Sir Alex stood on the touchline wearing a floppy hat

This is a hill I'm willing to die on - I loved the yellow shorts

United should be above this stupid away kit trend. White, black or all navy blue. Those are United away kit colours.

Yeah, can't believe there's no outrage about something.

More weird was that it is Southampton's away strip & their home kit looks like ours from the back.

Blue and yellow were my favourite colours when I was a kid, especially combined. It looked awesome yesterday.

It looked shite but at the end of the day they are clearly the kits back-up shorts wore not to clash with Southamptons black shorts so it's not really a big issue and it's not something we're going to see many times.

Thought the yellow shorts looked absolutely ridiculous. Looked like they all were wearing De Gea's goalkeeper shorts from a few years ago.

Soton have got the exact tricolour as us of red, white and black so no wonder all the kit disasters we’ve had over the years have come against them.

It was obviously meant to be navy/black shorts but they clashed, so we end up looking like Parma.

This was the 1971-74 third kit. I loved it, but it was dropped when we got relegated. I think this was taken at The Dell, which was Southampton‘s old ground.

You do realise that isn’t our away kit that we played in against Southampton? It’s our third kit.

While my streaming app was still buffering and the players were but mere pixels on screen, I genuinely thought the Southampton players were United. Like my brain didn't associate these colours with the team *at all*. But it does look quite striking though. All navy blue would have been understated and classy. But this was a fun look.

I liked the yellow shorts... it hid the piss that we were shooting all over the field while we attempted to match SouthHampton's intensity.

Who ever did those shorts needs to be shot.

Probably some drunk intern at Adidas trying to be creative.

Our away kit is wonderful. That 3rd kit though looks like Arsenal. Not a fan at all.
