Wasn't highly rated before moving to Arsenal but he seems to have made a decent start to his Arsenal career.

Just provided a lovely assist for Arse's 2nd against Newcastle

Real deal or flash in the pan?

Done well so far. Never easy to join a new club in a new league, in a defensive line which has only recently been put together.

Hard working and decent on the ball. I think his experience as a CB along with his size is pretty useful, as in certain plays he’ll often become the third CB, and this gives Arsenal some decent flexibility with both their shape and approach.

Think all of the Arsenal signings this year has been pretty spot on. This guy, Tavares, White all making good impressions. Credit to Arteta to make it work.

Every player is a real deal as long as they play for Arsenal

He’s slotted in really well. He’s incredibly focused and hard-working and has an underrated left foot as well. Plus, he bashed Spurs in an interview. Instant fan favourite.

Of our six signings, five have done really well. Strangely enough the player who seems to have the most trouble fitting into this new team is Odegaard… who has been playing for us since last season. It’s really weird that his integration has been the slowest of the new cohort.

Decent player, but won't push us up a level. Which is what is required if you want to match Liverpool/City.

He has done well and having 3 tall defenders has helped a lot. His passing is what has impressed me the most, he's not scared to try difficult passes and gets them spot on most of the time. He creates a lot more than any other option we have/had. I can see him getting 3/4 goals a season.
Glad we got him and Spurs got Royal in the end.

This guy is lowkey one of the worst players in the league
Had multiple calf injuries and hasn't been able to recapture his form yet. Worst player in the league ? Yeah right.

His form was crap last season too.

Mediocre at best defender but beyond terrible offensively.

That's harsh he was pretty good last season, for the first half of the season he played very well. He struggled when he came back from injury in the second half of the season, and him missing a lot of the second half of the season played quite a big role in Arsenal missing out on top 4 (and admittedly the lack of quality backup in that position).

He's struggling a lot this season though.

Yep that's just recency bias from people that barely watched him last year or this year. He's obviously struggling to get back in form but even on one leg he's far from being "one of the worst players in the league"

I wonder if he's a bit like Tierney whose playing style may not suit what Arteta wants. He was one of our best players last season, funny how quickly things can change. However, seems to be trusted more by Arteta than Tierney, and he did a great job v Salah earlier in the season. Definitely looks low in confidence right now, particularly after this error v City. Still think he'll be able to turn it around though.
