Most wingers can play left or right whereas full backs can normally only play on one side.
I don't think so. Almost none of the wingers mentioned play both flanks. Of the players usually mentioned, only Di Maria is known to play on either flank and frankly, he's way more of a left wing player than a right wing player. It's just for United that he's been used on the right. Very, very played there before that.

Putting Courtois above De Gea is laughable. De Gea is better. It's the classic case of an opinion being so popular i.e. De gea being the best goalkeeper in the league, that it then becomes unpopular to spout it. You are seen as too much of a normal football fan jumping on the latest opinion and not looking at it for yourself. If you do look at it yourself, you will see De Gea is the best goalkeeper.

I don't think the gap is anywhere near as clear cut as you're making out.

He played almost exclusively on the right wing for Madrid up until last season.

Sanchez has, pretty sure Sterling has played on the left and right this season too.

Laughable may be extreme. Courtois is world class, but I still think De Gea is clearly better.
In fairness I don't think we know. DeGea is challenged every game. Courtois is not. De Gea is certainly pulling off the better saves by far and on a frequent basis. Courtois just twiddles his thumbs most of the match.

There's next to nothing between them but de Gea has had the better season to Courtois, therefore he's currently the better 'keeper. For me anyway.

You've never seen Sterling play on the right like he does on the left. Sánchez has played on the right, not so much for Arsenal. A right back could just as easily play on the left. Won't be as effective, neither are these wingers on both sides.

Yea you're right. Makes you wonder why Real bought him. Played on the left for Benfica. Shifted to the right because of Ronaldo. Had his best season by far when taken off the right wing.

Dont get why people are putting Coleman in and then not putting Baines in. Coleman has been awful the majority of the season while only Fabregas has more assist in the league than Baines. I cant wait for baines to have an unselfish player playing infront of him again and he will back to being the best attacking fullback in the league.

He played from the right in the CL against us.

It was always Ronaldo-Ozil-Di Maria until last season.

I'm just as surprised at lots of no Mata or Rafael, considering this fourm. I guess it's very focused on current form.
Rafael can't even make it to the first XI at the moment so not very surprising. Mata hasn't played much and has been inconsistent in his time at United. That's probably down to changing formations and the lack of a settled first XI I think.

Rooney and De Gea have both been excellent throughout the season barring a few bad games.

More good left backs than right backs.
