Hopefully we can clinch top 4 this week and then begin to plan for next season. Two draws would guarantee us 4th at worst. 2 wins would probably see us finish 3rd unless Chelsea win at Anfield and beat Wolves which won't be easy at all. Could easily drop pts in both those games. If we don't finish top 4 now then serious questions need to be asked of this management team.
Next season I think it's highly unlikely we will compete for the title but the goal must surely to be much much closer to the top spot and finish comfortably in the CL places with games to spare. 80pts minimum should be our aim and would be nice to win a cup too. I realise we can still do that this year with the Europa League but if we get top 4 this week don't be shocked to see our big players be given August off. Fatigue next season with the short turn around is going to come back and bite hard.
