Excellent.

Holy shit! I was not expecting them to go back to Joel and Ellie but I'm delighted they did.

I know lots of people said they shouldn't be used again as the ending to the original was brilliantly ambiguous and should be left like that but holy fecking shit, I cannot wait to see how their story continues.

Oh baby! Great news. I can't remember the bloody ending of part one though now having only played it too completion once.

Incredible game though - one of the best ever possibly. Fingers crossed part 2 lives up to what will be an insane amount of hype.

I knew this would happen eventually. Here comes another best seller.

I guess I'm the only one who's disappointing ND are making another third person action/adventure game.

This will be the perfect remedy for my fatigue of Ubisoft-style open world games. The original was arguably the greatest character-driven video game ever created so I'm expecting big things from this one. I'm not even nervous about it disappointing, this is Naughty Dog, they've gone from strength to strength and haven't looked like they're slowing down any time soon.

A long way off though according to the blog post

Didn't realize it was recording the audience's reaction; I thought it was a terrifying zombie horde at first

Red Dead Redemption 2 and Last of Us Part 2? Couldn't be any better

Now that's how you do a trailer

This just went to the top of my most wanted list, the original is brilliant and NaughtyDog are one of the best developers around it's sure to be amazing.

Holy pissing baby hair!

I never thought they'd do a part 2. Any idea roughly when this'll come out?

Haven't played Last of Us 1 yet but that trailer looks class.

It's worth playing for sure but my god, the fawning over it is unreal.
I enjoyed the Uncharted series so I'm sure it's a good game. To be honest I've never been a big gamer and have even less interest these days. I imagine this new one will need the new PS4 Pro rip off thing as well.

Aren't you the guy who is pretty much disappointed with everything?

If someone told me there would be one disappointed person I'd say that scouser lad Tommy

You don't need the PS4 Pro to play it, you only need the Pro if you want 4K graphics. The experience will be the same on PS4. And I highly recommend The Last of Us, once you really get into it, it just comes that much better.

Can't wait. The last one was so good, have never experienced character depth like it so glad they are sticking with Joel and Ellie

I really should play the first one.

It's a good game, which is elevated due to the story and atmosphere.

Though as someone said above, the fawning over it is a bit much as gameplay wise it's decent enough and nothing more. I think the same about the Uncharted series funnily enough.

I look forward to this though, they'll smash it out of the park no doubt.

Not a big gamer either but The Last Of Us is definitely worth checking out. Liked it about as much as I liked the two excellent Bioshock games and for similar reasons.

Personally I prefer the Uncharted series, neither game are particularly original in terms of story-line, they just look great and are fun - playable movies and that's no bad thing at all.

It's a lot people's favourite game. So it's understandable fawning

Probably my favourite of all time

I respect your opinion but I still think it's overblown for what it is. However, I'm not going to bring my unwarranted cynicism into this thread about it where people really love the game.

I'll be buying and playing it myself after-all.

I'm a Liverpool fan... Wtf else would you expect? :D

Whilst I am sure it will be absolutely incredible, I feel like it just doesn't need a sequel. It was perfect, and beautiful, as a standalone.

Please please don't ruin it Naughty Dog

Not the next-gen Jak and Daxter I was waiting for, Naughty Dog.

It didn't need a sequel. It's one of my favourite games ever and I'm slightly annoyed they kept it going instead of doing something new
