I wouldn't lie but that was some good sh*t. Different but good. One complain, where the feck was kane. He could have come and done his gig too. But kudos to both taker and styles for making it work.

You could easily do taker v fiend down the line in this style, after this success people will go mad for it, wwe would be mad not to, then maybe even have an entire separate universe in this style.

Think it was a lot better than most would of anticipated. Glad it’s two nights, a much easier watch.

If Cena vs Wyatt is anything like the Boneyard it’ll be great. Taker vs AJ, KO vs Rollins, Ladder match were all great.

A poor mans Lance Archer beating Goldberg, whod of thought it?

I was thinking the exact same. Maybe that could be the final swansong for taker by having fiend bury the man and take over the mantle.

Bray vs Matt was great but then we hardly saw it again especially with Matt pushing for it
Maybe with taker involved it might be different

That was crazy but exactly what you'd expect. Wasn't terrible actually.

With all the rest Taker needed, that match only needed 3 days to film as well.

Agreed
Easier to handle as a fan
I'm sure having two nights at 4 hours would be better for fans too going forward

Yeah wouldn’t be a bad way for taker to go out!

Then you could even make Bray wrestle in the ring but when he can’t get the job done he sends them to the fun house or whatever to get mauled by the fiend, or the fiend just attacks them at night so they can use different locations.

Okay I am rambling, I need sleep for sure!

Demon Balor And Alaisteir Black would fit into this nicely too! Go full horror movie.

Kanes a mayor.

Would be irresponsible of him appearing on a wrestling show whilst COVID 19 is happening.

I enjoyed that. It was fun. Didn’t feel like mania really, but I think they did a decent job with what they had. KO/Seth, Ladder and Boneyard were great. I’m glad Braun won. Turn him into a monster heel now and have a big pay off of somebody beating him when crowds return.

That’s the best taker has looked. Obviously due to the way it was filmed and allowing him to rest. If he’s not retiring, then that is the way his matches should be now. American Badass attire suits him better now too. Doesn’t look like an old man in fancy dress.

Boneyard match was brilliant. Over the top but to be fair I'd say it was completely different to the stuff Hardy did with Final Deletion. This actually told a great story which it relied on rather than just being balls to the wall hilarious over the top stuff. Actually think that's one of the best things they've done in a long time and probably saved what was otherwise a very average show bar the ladder match. The no crowd was just too big of a deal not to have a big effect on the overall show.

Have to say in his 4 years time with WWE AJ has been having a remarkable career. 2 solid wwe title runs being the face of smackdown. Multiple midcard championships. Feuds with Cena, Jericho, Shane, Nakamura, Ambrose. Quality matches with Cena, Roman, Brock, Bryan, Rollins, Demon balor, Shane etc. Heck he made Jinder look good. Mania matches with top personalities like Jericho, Shane and Orton. Now a memorable mania match against Taker to the list. For a guy who spent most of his career outside WWE, it is no doubt the likes of Vince, Hunter and other top figures in WWE must think highly of him.

The last match was so cheesy it ended up being brilliant. They didnt take themselves serious and just went all out for it, I really liked that and look forward to Cena vs Fiend tonight.

Rest of the card was hit and miss with Braun squashing Goldberg the best laugh of the night, felt like a massive feck you to Goldberg for whatever reason. Loved the ‘GET UP GOLDBERG!’ line from Braun just before he face rolled him.

All in all it wasn’t too bad given the circumstances, I feel the first few matches sucked (why the hell the women’s tag match got 32 minutes I don’t know..) and the Becky vs Shayna match was a let down but it recovered with the back end of the card.

The problem WWE has is everything feels like it’s in place for Roman Reigns all the time, you just know Strowman is dropping that belt when he returns, it all feels pointless. Biggest feck up ever having Fiend drop it go Goldberg.

Saw some of it. Watching Goldberg get squashed was great. The AJ match was so ridiculous I laughed throughout. Like a cheap b horror movie... But guess what? I love b horror movies haha. The second half of KO v Seth was good.

Didn't care about the rest.

That should be the takers yearly thing now, a cinematic boneyard match at Mania. He can’t put on a real match these days but that last night was great.

That was mostly shite. Somewhere Jim Cornette is having a caniption fit.

I did enjoy the sound effects on those punches in the boneyard match though.

Night 2 can't be any worse can it?

What happens to AJ Styles now? Does he come back as zombie Styles?
If WWE is going on hiatus soon, whenever things go back to normal just have him come out in the same attire as last night dazed and spitting dust.

Edit: Why do people care about Jim Cornette still? The man is bitterness personified. Overly-angry twat who wishes death on wrestlers just to get a reaction.

Nobody cares. Which is why it's so funny that he gets 'angry' about everything. He's the epitome of old man yells at cloud.

Second half or the show saved the night, first half was awful
Aye. Goldberg v Strowman was one for the ages.

My mistake, 4 spears and 3 power slams, awful - Owens/Rollins & Taker/Styles saved the show

AJ styles can have a great fight with anyone. Brock, Taker, Shane or even a broom. I wish he was around in the attitude era.

Braun/Goldberg was the best it could have ever been. Seriously

This could be their way of having sting vs taker at mania
One year they face each other like this
The next year they rescue each other

I oddly liked the Goldberg match funny enough. It was never going longer than 5 minutes, it’s standard for Goldberg and to see him get dicked was really satisfying. I did the eye roll after the fourth spear but seeing Braun essentially no sell it and just throw him around for an easy win was hilarious.

They wasn’t to know all this corona stuff was going to change the show so I’ll give em that in terms of Roman Reigns not competing, but having The Fiend drop the belt to Goldberg in the first place was probably the worst decision in years, the whole thing has been a complete farce.

The Fiend vs Reigns (who would pull out to be replaced by Cena) in a firefly fun house match for the Universal Title is way more interesting anyway, god knows what they’re thinking with shitty Goldberg.

It felt like it was worthy of being on Channel 5 at 1.45am in the late 90's/early 00's. In amongst the soft-porn.

Perfect b-movie cheap trash action. Genuinely funny.

Undertaker versus Steven Segal/Christian Slater/Jean Claude Van Damme/all of them next year.

Finally got through it all. The only match that sucked really was the Braun Vs. Goldberg match. Maybe the Elias and Corbin match as well, I didnt focus much on it.

All of the other matches were decent to good, although I did skip through the 2nd half of the tag ladder match to the end and just saw parts of it. I could see it was still a decent ladder match in the circumstances, I just didnt care because it was a singles match for tag titles.

I also didnt find the first half of the Undertaker Vs. Aj match to be entertaining or engaging. In fact in the entire thing AJ Styles looked out of place as a guy 1 foot smaller than a giant guy with magic powers. But at least half way through he got some backup but it was still hard to take AJ seriously. I think it would have been better if it was someone who you could legitimately believe would try to kill The Undertaker and who the WWE might want to push past him and continue doing these types of matches. AJ Styles isnt that person.

The second half of the match was more entertaining though and a decent effort at that kind of lucha underground/final deletion movie match.

Overall day 1 was certainly better than I was expecting. Other than the Universal champion

Meltzer is saying that steroid use apparently makes you more susceptible the bad effects of corona virus. He's talked to several doctors about corona, including one that confirmed that Roman would be more vulnerable to it weeks ago. That obviously doesnt make him an expert considering nobody really seems to know everything about it, but people who have almost certainly taken steroids before to get their physique should probably not be working right now.

Yes, I read about the steroid thing a while ago. When the Ibuprofen thing came up, I think that's when the doctors were saying steroid users are at danger also.

Let's go

Charlotte is the only 'heel' I can see winning.
I'll be surprised if they change two wins titles tonight
Bray if he's counted too?
