in our league, ronaldo scores for fun too, he's scored 45 goals and had 32 assists, and 34 MoM awards, with an average of 9.34. I can't wait for that cnut to retire...

Weirdly though, he plays for Inter in our league and they rarely win the league...
Is that all competitions or just the league?

All comps, but he generally only plays League and SMFA cup...

Annoyingly, I swapped Ronaldo when he was 91 rated for 95 rated Ruud Van Nistelrooy and 94 rated Wesley Sneijder back in the day...

This is the Ronaldo in our league.

Good at the league but not so good in other competitions. Weird that the game allowed him to play in the Champions Cup for both Everton and Darlington. Everton ended up winning the thing and weren't knocked out.

That swap is better than mine where I swapped a 98 rated Ronaldo for Luke bloody Shaw (I hadn't gone completely off the rails, Ronaldo wasn't scoring for me and I had Messi and others).

My goals tend to be spread between a few players:

What formation do you play? I'm a rigid 3-5-2 player, all others I've tried seems to have mixed results...

What formation to Darlington/Everton play?

What formation to Darlington/Everton play?
United: 4-2-3-1 A
Darlington: 4-2-3-1 B then switch to 4-3-3 B at half time (from their last match at least)
Everton: no idea @The Stain seems to switch it up constantly.

Nothing is so common as the wish to be remarkable.
Question:

I play SM with my mates, I have a few "should I do this deal" questions...

Mate has Mauro Icardi on a level 4 unhappy, I've offered him Diego Costa but he's come back and wants Ben Mendy and Bonucci in the deal.

I only really have Sanchez and Diego Costa up front, so need to think about replacing them, so I'm leaning towards doing the deal as I have Koulibaly and Skriniar along with Sokratis and Medhi Benatia as the other one of the 3 I play at the back.

I also have Kurzawa as a back up left back.

Should I pull the trigger on this deal?

I should also add that Ben Mendy is my top scorer from left back with 31 goals and 21 assists this season somehow
I would appreciate suggestions on how to emulate this

Good luck debating your way out of this one @BenitoSTARR
Also if you actually paid attention to the club

The schopf bid was withdrawn as soon as I logged on this morning.

Eze had a bid waiting on him that I was waiting to accept and as soon as the others were accepted I accepted his bid too

So rather than going on a witch hunt just look at how many players I end up with

Anyway can we please update the rules so that they reflect what people think they mean?

Literally just include “you cannot make any bids on players above your cap until you have an accepted offer” at the moment it is too vague

Its not vague though, we had the same issue a while back (cant remember between who), and the consensus then was that if you bid on players that would bring you over the limit and you get them accepted before accepting bids to sell your own players then you get a ban.

At the time it was to do with managers bidding on newly added players and how it would be unfair and a breach of FFP if they were able to buy the players knowing that it would take them over the limit if they won.

Southend Utd real life transfers (Jan 2019)

Done deals

  2. Krzysztof Piatek (23/87): Genoa => AC Milan
  3. Hannes Wolf (19/83): RB Salzburg => RB Leipzig (in summer)
Very likely
  1. Ajdin Hasic (17/70): Dinamo Zagreb => Besiktas
  2. Abdulkadir Omur (19/82): Trabzonspor => Liverpool
  3. Emerson (20/80): Atletico Mineiro => Real Betis
  4. Svetozar Markovic (18/80): Partizan => Genoa

That’s not what the rules say though.

All I’m asking for is for the rules to reflect that!

Change the rules now to say that and that’s exactly how everyone will operate

But right now it’s impossible for me to be in breach of the rules as the way they are worded just says to have one player in and one out

I have been very careful to make sure this happens

Otherwise you’re saying any outgoing bid is assumed accepted and by that logic any incoming bid can equally be classed as accepted also

Yeah, been distracted with Werewolf. Someone club him over the head please.
I do disagree

The way those rules are worded implies that so long as you have players leaving the club it is ok to have bids incoming

As you can clearly see the way I have managed QPR I’ve made sure players have bids on them ready to sell and low and behold that’s what has happened

If the rules reflected that the one in one out only applies to the exact same deal then absolutely I’d be breaking them but that is not in any translation or interpretation what they say

Make the rules clearer or you’ll end up losing managers due to lack of clarity

I’ve been made out like I’m trying to cheat here or break rules when at no point have I come close to being over limit and people have deliberately ignored bids I had on my other players like Eze when seeing if I am over FFP or not which is a bit shameful really

If I had any intention of going over 58 players I could do so but I want to follow the rules and as they are written

What I’m asking for is an improvement on how they are worded because they do not read how I feel they are intended and as a newbie to this set up I feel they need clarifying on that front page

FFP Rules - Anyone Breaking This From Now On Will Get A Kenwood Juicer Thrown At Their Heads
  • For teams with squads below the FFP, any bid made on a player shall be assumed to be won by the team bidding, and included in determining your squad limit for FFP.
@BenitoSTARR

To put this into a simpler term to understand if you are a bit simple, once you bid it counts in your FFP. The same issue came up with Wino and it was cleared up then... This is not a case of it not being clear this is a case (again) of the offender having a tantrum over being caught bending the rules...

You bid on players while not having space, which by the rules means you are over FFP...

Waiting for the bid to be accepted before accepting outgoing bids does not work. Only time you can bid for players while at max is if you have already accepted a bid, or it is a player exchange...

Ya banned!

Firstly it’s very childish to make a comment implying I may be simple. Disappointing.

The rules do not state what you just said though!

And by the rules yes I did have space because the rules say you must ensure one in and one out on any bids which I had done I made sure that I could sell Eze to make room

And look at my squad now too am
I over FFP? Nope.

This isn’t a tantrum at all it’s a game that frankly the more petty and insulting people are becoming over this the less I’m inclined to be a part of given that I’ve not tried at any point to be deceptive or dishonest.

I’m merely pointing out that what everyone’s saying “oh this is what the rules mean” isn’t actually what the rules say.

You’ve actually done a much better job of coming up with phrasing that describes what people want FFP to be in your second to last paragraph yet nowhere does it say in FFP you have to have an accepted bid at the time of making another you just have to ensure 1 in 1 out which given my squad currently has 54 players plus Masuaku on loan (55) after I’ve apparently been trying to bend rules to get so many players I’d say it’s quite clear I have no intention of doing so.

I’ve ensured at every point of this game world that my squad never has any possible chance of exceeding 58 players

At no point has it or ever will it exceed that limit and yet I’m being treated as though I’m a child. When the reality is I’ve not broken or bent any rule based on how they are currently written.

Change the rules to reflect what you just said earlier and then absolutely I would be in breach of that new rule but punishing me for not exceeding FFP and following the rules as it is written I fail to understand given that (and I’m sure you’ll all just take the piss) that from a legal perspective I haven’t broken any clause that is in the current rules

Just to confirm Benito's ban has been added to the OP. You're not the first (Wino, myself and infamous) and you won't be the last to get a transfer ban for this kind of thing.

Yeah, you're in line for some good rises.

Depends on the length of injury and the age of the player. Milik has had two cruciate ligament injuries but hadn't gone down, however he was in his very early 20s and SM seem stricter now.

Veltman got a cruciate in April 2018 and is on the verge of making a come back and they gave him a - 1.

Loan Cap (S15 and onwards)
  1. Applies to unmanaged clubs only
  2. Loan cap = FFP minus 40, first come first serve (e.g. if your FFP aka squad limit is 50, your loan cap = 50 - 40 = 10, which means you can only loan 10 players out to unmanaged clubs)
  3. Only players with rating 75 and/or above are allowed to be loaned out
  4. Duration - until Turn 2 every season. After Turn 2, it is free-for-all

I face Chelsea in the first round of the Cup and Newcastle United in first round of the Shield. This could be the first time since Season 7 that I'll end a season trophyless.
