Haven’t heard boos like this for a while.

Kinell

I still don't get how he's so entertaining as a heel as he's basically crap at it half the time, but it just somehow works.

Even the WM entrance was hilarious, although got topped by Logan sailing in on a glider while mouthing off to everyone.

Think people in the states generally, and even a lot of people this side of the pond, underestimate how big wrestling is in the UK and Europe. Doesn't matter what the card is for a lot of people, it's a major PPV in a stadium which never happens this side of the pond, of course people are going to jump at the chance to go.

So over half sold before general sale? Interesting. Wonder what they're projected to sell overall.

If this was WWE I'd say another 10-15k
But you would think most who wanted to go to aew would have gone to make sure they got a ticket in pre sales.
However it's also hard to tell as its wembley stadium. Maybe a big push once tix go on general sale to try get people interested by announcing matches and maybe celebrities

That's the thing. Once the card starts taking shape, more and more tickets will be sold logically.

Theres also the hype which is huge right now. The more tickets already sold, the more people will want to be there for fear of missing out on a big experience. Back to the old days of AEW where events were selling out in small times because people didnt want to miss out.

Think they'll beat my 60k prediction now, but by how much

It’s because he reminds everyone of that annoying twat that they know.

viewership for AEW was rough this week.
Tony really needs a reset and fast.

Does anyone remember who their first wrestling wank was over?

Mine was the Thong Stink Face match between The Kat "Miss Kitty" and Terri Runnels

Who was the poster in this thread saying there wasn't any demand for an AEW Wembley show?

60k tickets is insane.

Just look 5 or 6 posts up and see the poster ignoring the Wembley success to talk about ratings instead, standard fare from them

Yeah these All In Tickets are selling like hot cakes. Just bought better seats and relisted my old ones. Sold within 10 minutes.
Nice one, where are you sitting now? The "official platinum" tickets, which seem to be anything on the pitch, have almost doubled in price since the first presale when I bought some, so I'm really glad I got in early!

This one @Holocene ?

Will they? During an economic crisis?
Look at Germany, they’re the biggest wrestling community in Europe outside of the UK and their tv deal got downgraded not that long ago and it’s not because of an abundance of interest.
This post from Reddit stuck in my mind

As a German I can tell you that this deal is not good for us fans.

On TNT Serie we had the option for original commentary which will be gone with DMAX. And the timeslot.. nobody watches Wrestling Sundays at 11:15pm.

Looks good on paper, but unfortunately this deal sucks

I can’t see a demand at all. Fans constantly overestimate the smark drive in wresting

I'm in section S row C now. Much straighter but yeah what a rip. Ticket master and their platinum bullshit is a total scam. Basically touting their own tickets.

Nice, I'm a little bit in front of you, managed to get in section A around the middle.

I was at a Dynamite in Houston around a year ago (I happened to be in Texas while they were there), and that was a great atmosphere at around 8,000, so a potential 70-80,000 should be rocking.

Damn, nice seats. I went for the 100s sections due to the pricing. I enjoy wrestling but can't pay more than 200 per ticket given Ticketmasters annoying extra fees.

I beat you to it, he's moved onto ratings now, the Wembley attendance won't get mentioned again (except maybe a misleading photo of empty seats hours before the show starts)
Nah, tony khan bought all the tickets don't you know?

Yeah I get that, The 100s section should be a great view in fairness, I was close to going with that, but decided to push the boat out a little to be in a decent position on the floor.

If he did maybe he can hand some ringside ones over to the wrestling fan caftards, seems only fair.

I'm still hoping that the platinum tix for mitb drops closer to the time. If I wasn't having a wedding abroad in July, I might be tempted. I'm flying back on the 27th so, flight and then to my dad's, maybe a nap, and then the stadium. I'm hyped

Also The 'for you' part of twitter is annoying because it shows absolute idiots talking about wrestling. So many people are so tribal about this it makes no sense. I've seen a few posters on This thread be the same, but wrestling is wrestling and the more there is the better it is for fans

"Pretty sure it’s a sign that AEW isn’t strong in Germany and if it isn’t strong in Germany then they’re in trouble." Cyberman

In fairness to him there were definitely a couple more that doubted AEW could do a wembley show

To be fair let’s see who shows up. Secondary market already seeing an influx of tickets.

Well yeah theyve already sold over 60k tickets so you'd expect an
influx of tickets resold

One thing that isn’t being talked about for AEW at wembley is that the entrance stage is going to take out a whole section. Around 70k is what can fit for the show and there more than half way there

I don't think the ticket sales are that surprising. It was always going to come down to the pricing. Wembley sells out for gigs evwn when the prices are slightly obscene and the Tottenham stadium etc. has no problem getting big crowds for NFL games. There are a lot of Wrestling fans and all of them well be well aware of AEW so the audience base and interest was always going to be there.

Ironically the only thing Wembley struggles to sell tickets for is football, probably because £80 to see England B vs Andorra on Tuesday night at the most pain in the arse stadium to get to in the country, isn't really that appealing.

There are now 70k already sold. Theres space for more than that
