Undertaker appearing out of nowhere and taking out the Rock was kinda cool. But why'd he do that?

Yeah I didn't get that one either? Rock and Cena, sure I get it but Taker and the Rock. There's not a lot left there from the attitude era. Triple HHH would have made more.sense. Battle of the bosses!

Was also expecting (hoping) Dean Ambrose would show up suddenly too!

For one whole second I thought Jon Moxley was showing up.
Honestly, so did I. Especially since in the build up video right before the main event we saw AEW footage from their Revolution PPV and also saw footage of Jericho, Kenny Omega Matt & Nick Jackson with Cody.

My brain can't get pregnant!
Have a feeling Punk costs Drew and the cash in happens keeping Drew strong for him to win at or before Glasgow (if he has signed a new deal).
You called it!

I think he did it just to even the odds. Also he's grown up with Dusty and Cody and Dustin too. The take we all had was that he was sick of the Rocks bullshit and the unfairness of it all and just wanted to even the odds. To add to that Roman beat him at Mania so he had a personal score to settle. Notice too how nobody touched Roman so it was a clean win for Cody.

What a fecking two nights that was. Night 1 was great and every match was decent except the expected superkick fest from the Uso's. A great finish and top work from all involved. Night 2 from start to finish was absolutely fecking amazing. Some truly insane shit, surprises, results and just all round top class WWE. The only complaints I have is no Austin and the wrestlers and fans at home all deserved better from the crowd. They were shocking, especially when you consider this lived up to the billing of best Wrestlemania of all time.

We closed the pub early and set up the projector & screen and were blown away by it tonight. Just finished watching the press conference while cleaning and HHH was amazing as always. Have great replies and was so humble and looks happier and more relaxed than I've ever seen him. He said last night was amazing but just a set up for tonight.

Raw is going to go off!

The only question I have is how the feck do you follow that?

The WWE is on fire and I can't wait to see where they go from here.

Just quickly, I loved all the fecking slaps to Vince's face that kept coming from the minute Steph walked out and carried on through the night. The huge Slim Jim party jabs were the best right up until HHH dropped a Pedigree at the end with his press.conferemce comments..

feck you Vince! WWE is better than it has been for years! You're not missed in the slightest.

Steve's got better things to do.

The gong was the next best thing at least
My guess is that spot was intended for Austin (especially as it was immediately after Cena, Rock’s other iconic mania opponent) - but for some reason Austin didn’t agree to it or couldn’t make it

Getting Dean back would have been phenomenal!
I did think when the Shield music went that it would be Seth and Dean. Didn’t really make sense to have it just be one guy with the Shield music.

And I think it would have made for a great moment on the night as a one-off, but I didn’t really go much on him as a solo competitor in WWE. If he came back it would be to be in the title picture and I think there are loads of wrestlers better than him already in WWE who they can push

I’d say Taker is the only one that could have done that without it needing to make sense.

It felt kind of like a throwback to his ABA debut.

John Cena gave him the AA and Seth distracted him by displaying his back for a juicy hit.

Why are John Cena, CM Punk and Triple H cheer leading for Cody?

Why did they bury Seth even further?
Bit of a strange take, he's had a good reign but it was set up for Drew to win that match. In terms of the main event, Cody was the one involved so Cena was helping him win. Punk and H just came out at the end to congratulate like H congratulated the other winners.

Turned into the wrestling equivalent of the portals scene in Avengers Endgame at the end (Codyvengers Assemble!). It was entertaining sure, but just like that movie it was overly reliant on fan service to make up for deficiencies elsewhere. Because let’s face it, Cody vs Roman on its own was always a pretty underwhelming main event.

I felt the best match of the night, again, was the first one. Drew winning, the face-off with Punk (you could cut the sexual tension with a knife) and then Priest’s cash-in, while predictable, was executed very well.

The match with Drew was great, no issues there. They had Seth play second fiddle to Cody for a tag match he shouldn't have been involved in, then he came in the Roman Cody match and just got super punched and chaired by Roman with no other input. It distracted Roman but it did nothing for Seth.

Surely long term its set up for a Cody v Gunther rivalry.
Guess it’s that and Punk Drew for SS. Kind of would like Cody Gunther and Punk Seth held off til next Mania but not sure they’ll be able to wait that long. I guess Cody Rock Saudi

Not sure what they’ve got planned for Priest but he’s meh to me so I’d just feed him to Breakker

Yeah did see that, should have delivered some blows before that. Clear reference to the Shield heel turn with that.

That ending might get Benoit’d a year or two down the line. They really want you to know this the HHH show now.

Bury Seth? He was the reason Roman lost. Roman chose to attack him when he could have hit Cody. That was the whole point. Seth said he'd be Cody's "shield". A shield is something that takes the blow, it doesn't need offence.

I thought it played out beautifully. Despite everything, Roman couldn't get over the Shield breakup and Seth's betrayal and chose to take revenge ( Seth was in the exact same position as when he hit Roman 10 years ago) rather than finish off Cody. Seth knew all along what he was doing. Both Seth and Roman couldn't let go off the past and it cost both of them their titles. That was the whole point of coming in the Shield attire and music.

The tribal chief character was born from Roman's paranoia of not getting betrayed by family again, and so it was great storytelling to have the same person be responsible for the end of the Tribal Chief.

Why would it get Benoit’d? Didn’t think HHH was accused of anything?

I think the feeling is that it will eventually come out that he knew what was up and that because he didn’t do anything publicly that it means he didn’t do or say anything privately.

It does speak volumes that Stephanie is visible on WWE programming for the first time in a long time now that Vince is gone.

Great ending to a great storyline with Reigns. Would have loved the glass to smash, but probably made more sense for the story they were telling that Taker popped out.

Dean was my favorite in the Shield. In the aftermath, he kinda got buried and directionless.

I'd definitely take him over Mysterio, Street Profits and even the Usos.

Pretty sure it's going to be the story they're telling with him - that he lost everything at Wrestlemania and had a terrible two days (so Drew was right) whilst Cody got to take the belt.

Seth is one of the last people anyone has to worry about being "buried" he's clearly one of their main guys.

Predictions for Raw tonight?

I am very much assuming that The Rock will be gone again for a while, and probably Reigns too
