Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands

Open Beta confirmed - and it will be a new area!

I really hope they improve the helicopter and plane controls. While they are controllable currently, then are not fun to fly because of their limitations. I think something as simple as adding L1 R1 yaw / rudder controls would be enough.

Rumoured to be the area for the open beta:

Also, shows just how big the map is!

Good review of the beta performance on the PS4 Pro - locked at 30 FPS and holds to that pretty much 100%, so almost no frame drops.

Have been waiting to get the Pro - mainly because I don't think the 4K TVs at the moment offer the right mix (particularly with regard to input lag). But with the new PS4 Pro firmware offering a boost mode to games that don't have a dedicated Pro patch, then I think it makes sense to pick one up.

Im hopefully picking up a 4k telly before this releases

Going to pick up the Pro today I think, although will have to set the file transfer going overnight.

The samsung ks7000 is good for low lag, even with hdr. They'll prob drop in price soon once the new series gets close to release.

Had seen v good reviews of that one - think it's called the KS8000 in the US and that seems to be the one people recommend.

Will see what models get released soon. Sucks they are always more expensive in Europe!!

Yeah its a ks8000 in US. Games look good in 4k hdr. Although if you're not wall mounting it you need a wide tv cabinet or buy a pedestal stand as the feet are quite far apart.

I think the feet of my wallet will be quite far apart if I go for one of them...

;)

Do we have a timeframe new TVs are announced each year?
Think the majority have been shown at CES, well the top models at least. Probably looking at being available march or april. Not really followed them as just got a new tv. Although the new sony tv with no speakers sounds interesting as it vibrates the panel screen to generate the sound.

Sweet, out tomorrow, so instead of going for some poncey meal and talking about boring shit I'll be able to sit at home, drink beer and shoot people in the head.

8.3, sweet! That might persuade me to get this then - I really want to snipe Hitler

Edit: Downloading on X1 as we speak!
Getting some v good reviews:

The term “sandbox” is thrown around a lot these days. But Sniper Elite 4 is a true sniper’s sandbox. The game’s enormous levels ensure that you can approach each mission in whatever way you see fit, and there is a good level of challenge in lining up the perfect shot. A more coherent story than the last game and the inclusion of co-op help to wrap everything up into a very nice package.

If you prefer your shooters to be more methodical or enjoy taking out enemies with pinpoint accuracy rather than just blindly rushing into skirmishes, Sniper Elite 4 will delight your trigger finger. Whether you’re a long-time series fan or someone just who wants to test their sniping skills, Sniper Elite 4 hits its target.
