Probably first name on the team sheet under Sir Matt. Certainly rate him amongst our best fullbacks. Very quick and good going forward. Unsung hero as someone has already mentioned. Only 33 caps for Rep of Ireland is an injustice imo.

Amongst the best full backs Utd have ever had. Could pass the ball short, long and his pace was scary, his positioning was usually faultless, a winger rarely got past him twice such was his recovery speed and tackling ability. Another attacking Utd., full back before the word was invented.
