Goes for clubs who need their players to take a paycut too.
The justification behind the introduction of FFP was that it was to stop clubs getting in trouble through unsustainable spending etc. The clubs that are having to furlough their staff on the govt scheme are essentially putting their hands up and saying their not exactly sustainable (well they're saying their greedy bastards but we'll take the more positive spin). So should they all get a transfer ban up until they can significantly reduce their total wage bills by say 25% (about 3 months wage).
Anyone else got any ideas on how to to motivate rich clubs and their owners not to abuse the situation?
