Transfer Requests

After hearing Zaha has handed a transfer request in and Lukaku has not. If Lukaku wants to leave so badly why did he not just hand a transfer request in. Just wondering why there is not a lot more transfer requests from players that want to leave there clubs.

Often it's because the player will waive certain loyalty bonuses that they would otherwise be entitled to (the difference between the player and the club pushing to terminate the contract). There might be other issues as well, but it's the payoff that's the big one I'm aware of.

I've heard that sometimes players don't want to do it because they don't want to reject the fans that they maybe have an affinity with. How true that is I don't know, but I've heard hints that it has influenced certain players.

Hand in a transfer request and you lose out on your loyalty bonus. Think that is the main one.

Contract's are hardly worth the paper they are written on, Unlike Spain where you have to have a £££££ release clause
