The games are being shown on ESPN NL, although I believe a subscription is required.

Thanks for the update. I'd forgotten the U18's weren't playing this weekend because of this U19 tournament. Shame about the subscription fee, and interesting to read about all the gimicky rules.

On the topic of this weekend's matches: is the Leeds U21 game at Old Trafford still not being televised? It's currently listed on MUTV schedule, and the PL game that night isn't being televised so they can't say they're aren't allowed to show it. But I know it said it wasn't going to be televised so I guess most likely the MUTV schedule is just wrong listing it?

Perhaps they made the decision to move it to Old Trafford farely recently and were originally planning to show it from LSV. It’s annoying how slowly they (MUTV) update their schedule but the club’s statement pretty clearly said it won’t be broadcasted so I guess we won’t be able to watch it.

Yeah, that's probably the case. Guess it'll eventually be changed on the schedule then and we won't get to watch it.

Is the thinking that they'd like the players to play in front of as large a crowd as possible at OT so they're removing the option of watching it on MUTV instead? Fair enough from that view, I guess, but very frustrating timing wise given that it's one of the (probably few) U21 games that wasn't going to clash with a televised PL game so they were actually allowed to show it.

Nice to see Mantato in the squad. One of only four 2008-born players in the competition. Hope Lacey is actually fit and will play, wouldn’t be surprised if he was listed just in case.

I used to play with a couple of guys who would love "to be able to dribble from free kicks" :)

United XI vs PSV:

Myles

Nolan
Munro
Jackson
Mantato

McAllister
Fitzgerald

Musa
Moorhouse
Scanlon

Wheatley

That's my guess as a formation based on the lineup. Could easily be McAllister or Fitzgerald in defense and Mantato on the wing instead of Scanlon.

Group A results:

Rangers 0-4 Anderlecht
Bragantino 2-0 Utrecht

25 minutes of effective playing time took 34 minutes in the first half and 37 minutes in the second half of the Rangers vs Anderlecht game. So 50 minutes in 71 minutes.

Wheatley's goal was a cool demonstration of the experimental rules. McAllister took PSV by suprise after dribbling from a free-kick, played Wheatley who turned his defender really well & finished.

Their goal came from a cross, courtesy of some awful marking by Nolan.

These set of rules are very useful for developing awareness and observation skills.

PSV pick up another yellow, although their first booking is back on the pitch now.

Fitzgerald has come back on (guess that's a rule too) for McAllister.

Shocking defensive performance from Nolan judging by those highlights
Was Nolan RB, Mantato LB? As much danger seemed to come down both flanks from those highlights.

Still no Harry Amass in the squad? I know he's only 16, but he and the Fletcher twins came for the U18's (which this squad is made up of). Good to see the Fletcher's included, but surprised there's no Amass seeing LB looks an area where we lacked a specialist in this group. Is there an issue with registration / injury, or just being slowly integrated?
