Nik is joined by Colm, Ashwin and Jamie to process the shock announcement of a proposed European Super League. The lads discuss the details as far as they are available, try to analyse the factors at play that got European football to this point and assess the possible impact on United and the sport as a whole. In an extended episode there is just time to reflect on maters on the pitch; our 3-1 win at home over Burnley and our upcoming fixtures against a former European heavyweight and two old enemies.

**Keep your eyes peeled for later in the week, we will cover all the fallout from Tuesday and further developments!**

Nice, I was waiting for this yesterday.

I always try to memorize any comments and thoughts I get during United Hour podcasts but they slip my mind soon after haha.

Awkward timing for podcasters
Ye we actually delayed this 24hrs to wait for confirmed ESL info and by the time we recorded, edited and released it was already falling apart!

the vast majority of what we discuss is still relevant though because this is not the end of The Super League idea, this cabal of billionaires will be back with another similar plan soon enough

Alan Brazil (of all fecking people) had an idea today that I quite liked.

A mandatory 25% discount next season for all existing season ticket holders.

It benefits the exact fans that the owners tried to leave behind, while hitting the owners in their pockets. It also leaves the staff and players out of it, as they should be.

Well Ias a ST holder 'd love that obviously but it's never going happen

Actually doesn't look like there will be any kind of punishment for the attempted coup

Hopefully the big government talk about regulation comes to something which can benefit all fans in the long term
