Well, that was exciting yesterday! Nik (@Rood), Colm (@Duafc) and Imran (@Annihilate Now!) are on the pod to talk through United's dramatic 2-1 win over West Ham. They heap praise for Ronaldo, Lingard and De Gea, and wonder what exactly constitues a penalty anymore...

Thoughts on the game? How many penalties should Ronaldo have had? Retribution for DDG & Jesse? Is Mark 'Brexit' Noble now the knobhead's knob and taken the title from John Terry?

Changed my opinion on the first Ronaldo pen-shout... seeing it a few more times I think it's a penalty. Ronaldo does sort of go into him - but he is on route to the ball and ultimately Coufal did stick his leg out (even though he's pulling it away, doesn't really pull it far enough.)

I'm the same mate. Wasn't sure first time through but seeing it quite a few times back I think it's a penalty. Probably shows why I couldn't be a ref

Thoughts:
- I really enjoy our new intro.
- I hate West Ham. Buzzing with the win and a brilliant goal by Jesse. Great redemption for him and DDG.
- SIUUUU. He is just a phenomenon. Just a mint player. Should have had 2 penalties.
- Agreed with Imran, Mason has been very good so far this season and playing well with Ronaldo.
- Varane. What a player. No blame for the goal, he is covering the right space and then has to move quick to try and close down and unlucky with the deflection. More on the midfielders for allowing him so much time to shoot.
- While he wasn't involved in the goal I thought Sancho had a decent cameo. Good touches and movement and had a lot of involvement in the movement that got us up the pitch and led to the 3rd Ronaldo penalty appeal. Give him time and we will soon see him properly integrated.
- Atkinson & Noble can feck off.

Great pod lads enjoyed it.

Ronaldo plays for it which is why it's refused I suppose - the last Zouma one was absolutely clear though

We didn't really mention the AWB/Soucek one - I've watched it a few times and can see why it's not given, Soucek does not have posession for a start and they seem to kick each other at the same time

Another great episode!

On the pens I think we got cheated out of two, but ultimately the Shaw call is correct, given the current rules. That having been said, the current rules for handball put the defenders at to big of a disadvantage and just launching the ball towards a defender should never be a viable tactic.

Great to see Lingard step up and show string mentality. I think it's fair that he didn't celebrate like a mad man, especially when the home fans greeted him the way they did. (Which was a surprise to me as they are among the worst fans in the league in my opinion)

Always great to beat West Ham, and was so happy for De Gea. Last time it was the penalty save against Arsenal in the 8-2 win that kick-started his great form for us, and I hope it will be the same now.

I must say I disagree about Rice though. The more I see him, the less I see a reason to pay his massive price. Especially when you have players like Palhinha who would be cheaper and looks much better on the ball.

Look harder, look quicker, look better. He won't be starting again now until the fa cup so plenty of time for the search for a new club.
