In this episode of United Hour our intrepid hosts take a look back at the West Brom game and ask if getting the ref to refer to VAR is the work of the players. They look at Lindelof and our defensive partnerships, crossing and our forward play. They discuss the racist abuse that still continues and question social media companies responsibility. The team looks at squad rotation and the return of the Europa. All topped of with a fine dollop of Jamie's Factual Game - Enjoy!

Nice job fella's. Share the frustration but yeah our defense needs sorting and attack needs sorting - what else is new?

I did say at the time I didn't think it was a foul on Lindelof, now I do... BUT what I would say - much like De Gea vs. Sheff Utd) I think the foul is completely incidental to the goal, as even if he didn't put his hand in Victor's face, he still would have scored as Lindelof didn't look interested in going to head the ball at any point.

On the captaincy, disagree with Jamie that Maguire shouldn't be our captain. Fact is he plays every single game and will be doing for the foreseeable future, which makes him as good a candidate as any for club captaincy. Bruno doesn't need a band on his arm to motivate the players or be a leader, he's that anyway and its clear that everyone see's him as such. Club captain also has a lot of boring duties (welcoming players to the club, training fines, sorting out match day tickets etc.) that Maguire is pretty good from what it seems, so yeh. He's a fine captain whilst he's our main CB... whether or not he should be our main CB is a different issue though.

Finally, fine game at the Jamie, but you've got a long way to go yet son...

Warsaw...that's too far away from Edinburgh...
I knew David was Scottish but he doesn't sound like a Glaswegian at all to me. I was fortunate enough to study in Edinburgh and even at time i was barley able to understand people from Glasgow.

And 100% with Ashwin ...perception is reality. If our players don't make fuss about being fouled the refs won't look into VAR. I dont even mean doing an Herrera/Busquests type of a performance. No rolling is needed.

David now lives in Canada so has probably lost some of his Glasgow drawl!

There is something in our defenders being too 'nice' and fighting for decisions is part of the mental toughness needed to win trophies

Bobby Charlton , Giggs, GNev.

I inserted Charlton's quote in one of my essays while at uni.

Some good quotes, i liked the Berba one the most.
Nice one. As Nik said, when reading through them there was quite a few I recognised but maybe forgot who said them. The Berba one is brilliant, had never seen that one before. He is United daft on social media :drool:
