Uniteds best line ups 03-13 & 13 - present day

I was just sat here thinking how quickly things change in football.
In my head i drew a UTD dream team of players in SAF last 10 years in charge and compared it to today..... Seems we went from being incredibly spoilt to a disaster in double quick time.

As you can see - i have Blind occupying 3 positions - i think he played better at LB than Luke Shaw - And Borthwick Jackson was not far from making this team. I also couldnt think of a better performing CB than he - likewise centre mid. Although he only played that position occasionally for us.

RW was between Lingard and Januzaj. Their best was short lived but Jesse managed to make a career from his mediocrity. Rashford and Martial are equally talented and both as inconsistant as each other so couldnt choose.

How the hell did we end up with so many players that wouldnt be fit to lace the boots of those that went before?

I mean, yeah but at times under SAF we played Fabio and O'Shea in the middle. We also played Welbeck, Phil Jones, etc! I wouldn't be too concerned.
