Yes, Sartori was a youth player - his family moved to Manchester from Italy when he was a kid.

I don't think he was the first non-British/Irish United youth player, but he was the first who made the transition to the first team.

ETA Naming an unpicked player there, of course. But yeah, he's hardly a hidden gem.

Also - quiz: what do these players have in common?

Cantona, Forrest, Halle, Jensen, Kanchelskis, Limpar, Nilsson, Rosenthal, Schmeichel, Segers, Stejskal, Vonk, Warzycha.

I meant the Cantwell pick! fecking Irwin being perfect on both flanks… I’d just gone with him on the left, thinking I was then secure as Michael would be looking for a RB not LB. :rolleyes:

Didn’t think I could trust you not to take Berry either, so thought get him and I’m safe on Cantwell anyway.

Yeah he was certainly on the shortlist, as was McIllroy. Both good players. A lot of that generation don’t always get the wider acclaim due to the relative barrenness of the 70s and 80s compared to what proceeded and followed.
